Needed something dependable for power blackouts. This light does a fine job with that. Great build quality, but not too heavy. It runs on six (supplied) AA batteries, not D-Cells. Incredibly bright, but has a dimmer setting and emergency flash. The dimmer setting has several additional sub-settings, accessed by simply holding down the switch. But how fancy do you need to get if you’re in the dark? Knurled barrel, good hand-feel. Too bad it won’t stand up because the end is (for some reason) rounded!?     • Bought several, and well worth what I paid, in my opinion
My goldilocks flashlight??? It's not too big, not too small, and I like that it has some weight to it, but aren't as heavy as other metal flashlights. I'm pretty confident it could be used as a way to get away from someone if needed. Be mindful not to drop it on your toes or your pets. I use it to walk my small dog at night, and it's heavy enough that it would injure her if I dropped it from waist height. The high/low settings are wonderfully bright, and the strobe effect can be useful. I have one on each floor of my home, and one in each vehicle. ... show more

    • WOW What a flashlight!
This flashlight is made from solid aluminum, like a Maglite flashlight. It takes 6 AA batteries that slide into 2 tubes with the rear cap removed. It is an extremely bright 1500 lumens, has digital focus and 7 light modes. An absolute bargain at $18!

At the current Black Friday sale price this is a great flashlight, but even at regular price it's a good product. However, as others have noted, no useful instructions were included. In trying the web site with various item numbers from the box I didn't find any results. The basic light options are high, low, and strobe, corresponding to one, two, and three clicks on the power button. Reading reviews, you can find that after initially setting the chosen light level, holding the power button should widen/narrow the beam. I found the difference in field of coverage minimal at best. If you want to be able to go from narrow focus to wider field you'd probably prefer a manual control that really makes a difference. On the other hand, having two light levels is really nice if you don't always want or need an intense beam. ... show more

It's bright, it's aluminum, works great. Literature included with the flashlight is incorrect, it certainly does not have "multiple LED light modes" as advertised. However it does have low/high/SOS modes. I bought this during "Black Friday" so it was a great deal at the time. I've got a flashlight that is more powerful, but cost a lot more. I got these on the Black Friday deal for Christmas Gifts and they are phenomenal! Brightest light ever with several modes of use including a dimmer beam and strobe for breakdowns of your vehicle. They even come with batteries included. We never have enough flashlights so we are so happy with them.
