Two screws in the wall and I have hands free light in my laundry room whenever I open the door. No longer necessary to look for and flip a switch every time I walk into the dark laundry room. This Little light activates my open the laundry door! Of course it will not replace your hard-wired overhead light fixture but a lot of times a quick low light is all that's needed to get job done. It's nice to know I'm not wasting unnecessary wattage for a short visits to the laundry room. I love it! The burst of light last about 90 seconds. The device is LED so the four C batteries (Not included) should last a really long time. It's an excellent light and motionn sensitive LED light which will not waste your batteries once the room brightens with natural or full- fixture lighting. I definitely will buy more. It's not absolutly necessary to mount it as it's completely functional as a free-standing device. I'm getting exactly what I needed out of it. I think the price point is perfect and don't consider this an expensive item for what it does. I have other plug in light-motion sensor night lights which I also enjoy but I was really tired of grabbing for the light switch in my dark laundry room and this completely and happily solved my problem. I mounted it next to the switch breaker box which is in my laundry room. Perfect for dark rooms when a burst of low light is all you need. I don't enjoy groping for the wall switch. I'm thinking of the TV room, any closet, attic entrance, dark stairwells and garage. Because it's also light-sensitive it won't actvate (waste) battery power in a lightened room. This little gizmo is well-built, easy to install and does exactly what it says it's going to do. Funny that something so simple has such a powerful positive impact on day to day activity.     • Extreme Safety issue for epileptics

Extreme Flickering was caused by battery voltage sag deposit using good Energizer batteries, likely not a faulty LED driver. Partially used D cells after usage, it couldn’t supply peak current once the lamp warmed up, triggering under voltage reset on the circuit, this is why slapping the unit caused the batteries to reset and very temporarily stopped the short. Resoldering contacts had no effect on the PCB. Installing fully new batteries immediately resolved the issue, clearly a defective and very dangerous design for epileptics it needs to be recalled for safety violations. ... show more

    • GREAT INEXPENSIVE, SAFE SOLUTION TO A DARK CLOSET

Its a huge closet with one bulb in the middle and two unmoveable racks on either side. WHO designed this??? Seriously. Have relied on running extension cords to two floor lamps so I can see what is on the racks which made me very uncomfortable running electrical cords with a hot bulb that could be accidentally left on. When one of the table lamps failed, researching the price of a replacement floor lamp, I woke up and decided to see about a stick on/screw on battery operated light. I landed on this because it has batteries, doesn't need to be charged, even has wall switch AND is very bright. I bought 4 of these to use in my living room. They install easily and I love the fact that one switch can control all four lights. They don't come on all at once but they do turn off all at once... until they didn't. I now have 1 light that will not respond to the switch and will not turn off. I just installed these today and less than 2hrs later I already have a malfunction. According to the box the light shuts off automatically after 1hr, but since these are battery operated (C batteries) I'm going to run through batteries like crazy, unless I want to physically climb up a ladder, unscrew the light and pop a battery out every time I want to turn it off. Total bummer. I really like what they did for my room except for this issue. ... show more

We have a small utility closet, no light, no power. One day my wife asks me to put a light in it. Since I don't want to be changing batteries every other day I bought one in June of 2023 and have yet to replace the batteries. Almost every single time we open this closet both of us think (or say outloud) 'This light is awesome!' It is not that bright at only 300 lumens but the motion sensor works great, the batteries last a LONG time and it gives plenty of light for a small closet. I bought another one for a friend who has a small bathroom under their staircase with no electrical in it so your choices our leave the door open or use the toilet in pitch black.
