I bought these to use during a two-week photographic trip through the south and northwest of Iceland. For the most part, I didn't need them, but once I began hiking in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula in late September, they made each day more comfortable. Although daytime temps hovered about 45° F, winds often gusted to 30 to 40 mph with driving rain. Certainly cold enough for gloves. These are better than gloves that pop back to expose all fingers. (Glommets?) Tthese expose only thumbtips and index fingertips, keeping the rest of the hands and fingers warm. Dexterity to manage dials that control aperture or function settings remains at hand. These probably would work just as well in temps down into the 30s under similar wintry conditions. I was glad the photograher’s blog hat I read before my trip recommened gloves such as these. I was more glad that I bought these at such a good price.

I really bought these for cold weather fishing and have been incredibly pleased with this purchase. I'd say the magnets aren't the GREATEST, but they do hold up very well and mostly keep the tips out of the way. They definitely are VERY WARM and very good when it comes to comfort. I can't say enough about that portion of the product. I haven't had much experience with the water resistance, but they do seem like they will do very well to that test. They don't seem like they would be water proof, but they do seem like they would resist a splash or two.

I purchased these gloves to replace a much more expensive brand of gloves (lost one of the other brand gloves). They seem to run a bit large in size ... I wear a large and they seem just a tad long in the fingers. The touch screen finger feature works okay ... not great or excellent. I am a wildlife photographer and use these gloves often in the mild cold or cool days. I have used them down to mid 20 degrees and they kept my hands very warm. The index and thumb "fold over" feature works well. Could use a stronger set of magnets and they would receive a "Great" rating. The velcro closure strap works perfectly. Not a bad product and worthy of the price, in my opinion

I like these enough that when I lost my first pair I ordered another. I use these primarily while dog walking to have the dexterity to tie waste bags shut without taking off my gloves. When using with a phone I typically don’t fully expose a finger joint as pictured instead only partially folding back the tip to expose a finger pad. This works better in cold temperatures and windy conditions than any thin “touch” glove I’ve used. I find these comfortable to use a little below freezing while walking.

First, the good: These gloves, like other brands allowing you to uncover your finger tips, provide the needed dexterity for photography. I think they serve this purpose nicely in milder temperatures, but only work in cold temperatures, those approaching or below freezing (0 degrees C or 32 degrees F), with important caveats. The not so good: The information in the sizing chart and the claimed temperature range seems baffling and misleading. (1) The sizing chart specifies palm widths that lead to ordering gloves that are too small. Although I generally wear a large glove, my palm width would not even start to reach the listed small sized glove in the chart. As a best guess, I ordered the medium size. However, a medium glove was too tight to get my hand into it, so I exchanged it for a large size. The large size fit but tightly. If you order, I suggest you order your usual size of glove, or maybe a size larger. The comfortable temperature information is inconsistent and seems misleading. A picture and in the gloves description state that the gloves will keep your hands warm in temperatures of -25 degrees F--that is serious subfreezing temperature. However, another picture has text indicating the temperature range is 0-30 degrees C--that is essentially for temperatures above freezing. My experience with the gloves suggests the second information is more correct. My fingers did not stay warm while walking in 30 degree F weather, slightly below freezing. The gloves have little loft to keep your hands warm. With vigorous activities that generate body heat, such as X-country skiing, or with liners or hand warmers (if the gloves are not too tight to prevent their insertion), I believe I can use these gloves in sub-freezing temperatures--but generally I will use them when it is cool but not freezing outside.

I’ve tried 11 different winter photography gloves. Up till now, the classic flip back mittens to half fingers was the one I kept going back to. But they tore over time, magnets fell out and they aren’t water proof. These gloves are fat and away my new gloves! Touch screen surprised me how well it works! The magnets are strong and you can actually work the camera through the finger slits. As for warmth, I’m in sweet today and it’s currently 19 degrees. Honestly, it’s too cold for these gloves. However, at 37 degrees I was satisfied! And we are taking photos gloves, not snow boarding gloves. I’m set with these as my new work gloves!

They do keep my hands nice and warm and I love that I can fold back the fingertips which is helpful at work and the grips on the palms are nice. I ordered the size small and it was a tad too large however I do have very small hands and I’m a female and these are men’s gloves, so I’m not too upset about that. Overall they are comfortable and warm.

Bought these for when I am out predator hunting. decent construction and the outer material on the palms and fingers are nice for keeping decent grip. they keep hands warm for a reasonable amount of time but maybe not if you are going to go out and sit all day. The fold out finger is nice and is held back by magnets to keep it out of the when while your finger is in the trigger well. all and all, decent gloves for hunting for the price.
