I had no urgent use for this camera, but was fascinated with the technology. (Okay, I also wanted to look into my outer ear. It felt as if I had some unknown type of roughness--it didn't.) You need to download the app, from the Apple Store in my case. The only thing was that when I searched USee (the name of the app) the app I wanted was the second one listed. Why do they do that? Anyway, as soon as I downloaded and opened the app it told me that the camera wasn't plugged in. I plugged it in with the supplied cord, and voila, the camera was working, bright and sharp. I bought it to use with my Android phone (USBC connector), but the camera includes a Lightning adapter so it also works on my wife's iPhone. I use it at work to grab serial numbers so I don't have to rip desks apart, and we've used it to look inside drop ceilings and walls, searching for wires. It has a small light, but in really dark spots we needed an additional lamp to see what we were doing. Note that you have to install the Useeplus app to use it; it does not work with the phone's built-in camera app. However, the app will export pictures to your phone's picture library. ... show more

I had to replace my bore scope, I saw this for a very low price but saw it worked with my phone, picture quality is fantastic, it is very easy to use. You can bend the tip for angles but is is not controllable.

I purchased this to look in my walls and hvac vents... I had some insulation blown into the walls and it seems they missed some areas. I also have some vents that aren't doing what they should (1972 split level house) in some of my rooms. I got the camera to try to investigate some of that, it mostly works for the walls but not so much at all for the vents. You can see to a point and then just nothing, the light doesn't light it up enough (these are standard 3-4" rigid ducts, or whatever). If I move it around, I can see some stuff, but it's already nearly impossible to navigate it down to where I need it to go. Overall, it does work but not as well as it could. ... show more

This looks like it would just be a regular USB Video Class Device (UVC), but it's not. It will only work with its own proprietary app, which is only available on iOS and Android. I'm trying to use this with a laptop. You CANNOT use this camera with a normal desktop or laptop computer, nor can you use any mobile app other than Xscope. ... show more
