I can definitely tell that this was designed by a woman for women. I had another weighted vest that I had to give away because it just didn’t fit well. I am very small - 5 feet and 88 pounds. I have the side buckles adjusted all the way down and it is tight enough. I tucked the extra strap length into one of the back weight chambers so they’re not flopping around. The front is designed to accommodate your chest, regardless of size. I bought the 10 pound adjustable. Right now I’m only using it with 6 pounds because I do run/walk intervals. It does bounce a little when I’m running, but it does not make it impossible to run. On me, the vest hits at my low waist. I did not notice any odor when I opened the package. Overall, I highly recommend this vest. Also note it would easily fit a man due to its huge range of adjustability on the sides.

I'm really happy with this vest. I previously ordered another brand and the smell was so horrible I had to return it. This one doesn't smell and it has a little stretch to it, which is nice. I tested it with 12lbs on a 5 mile hike today and my only complaint would be the way the sand is lumped right over the traps. It digs a little which might become even more noticeable as I go up in weight. Aside from that it is fantastic.

I'm giving this five stars so that it is read. There is a noxious gaseous smell emitting from this vest; I researched it. It is Volatile Organic Compounds which are cancer causing at worst and cause respiratory irritation or headaches at best. Whether you have a reaction or not is immaterial to the fact that this vest is likely not sold in Europe or Japan due to the gases which can take years to dissipate. Even if you air it out, the lack of smell is not an indication that the VOCs are rendered safe. They are VOCs - volatile - there it's in the name. Go to ChatGPT and research natural or low-emitting VOC vests.

Customers need to know that this is GREAT for the female form! It does NOT chafe at the top like most vests. It does NOT chafe around the waist like most vests. I got the smaller 8lb one; and it is enough weight. I put it on as soon as it got here; as i was coincidentally cleaning gardens for spring. I wore it for hours and was a happy old lady gardener. I appreciate the weight down onto the shoulders as i work. It keeps one from doing the "shrug" (which is a wear-out). Ladies ~ just get one.

Upon unboxing the smell is nauseating! I don’t know what chemicals are in this thing, but if it doesn’t air out well it’s going back. Smooth and comfortable neoprene fabric. The weight is evenly distributed throughout the vest. Both straps are adjustable, anyone in your family can use, it is easy to get on and off. There is no smell to this vest. I previously purchased another vest and the smell was terrible even after leaving outside for a week, I had to return.
