Fits comfortably with balance of weights front to back. I know I'm going to like wearing the vest better than ankle weights to get stronger. Have it on around the house and will do walk my usual 3 miles later today with it. Went with the fixed 8 lbs. I like that the company is woman-owned and the product is woman-designed. A nice bonus was finding a lavender sachet in the box to offset the neoprene new smell, which I didn't even notice. I love this 8lb weighted vest, the size is perfect, not too large and it sits nicely on your body. I love the X design, it does not rub under your arms like other vests. Smooth and comfortable neoprene fabric. The weight is evenly distributed throughout the vest. Both straps are adjustable, anyone in your family can use, it is easy to get on and off. There is no smell to this vest. I previously purchased another vest and the smell was terrible even after leaving outside for a week, I had to return.     • More comfortable for women, not the easiest to get on

I'd been using a weighted vest for over a year, and I use a 16 lb one. The one I had been using was a standard one that had 1 clip at the chest. It was never comfortable to wear (in fact I had to wear it upside down to make it not painful, making the pockets useless but I didn't really need those anyway), and the weights traveled and bunched in places making it more uncomfortable. I considered many other vests when trying to find one that was more comfortable and eventually settled on this one. It IS much more comfortable for me and the weights seem stable where they are and balanced. Unfortunately, it's hard to get on over the head, and then also hard to take off just because of how heavy it is. The straps are also annoying...they get twisted and it's hard to untwist them, and I spend more time than I'd like trying to figure out which strap goes where and making sure they are straight, even after using it daily for more than a week. But once it's on, it feels secure and doesn't restrict movement, so I think the annoyances are worth it. ... show more

Love this weighted vest. The crisscross design distributes the weight evenly over my upper body and it allows full and unrestricted movement of my arms. I hate it when my arms rub against the bulk of other designs and that's why I specifically chose this design. Most importantly, it doesn't smush down on your breasts. I don't feel like I'm compressed inside a full vest. There are no strings to tie - just one click of a strap located on each side and I'm ready to go. Because it doesn't cover my whole chest/back area, it keeps me from heating up and there's even an extra opening at the back to provide for more venting. I finally can add more weight resistance to my workout without the bulk. The eight pound weight was a good starter weight for me. I can see that I may go back and purchase a heavier vest someday in the future as I work up to more resistance. This is a good starter vest and you won't even notice you have it on, but your workout will show it! ... show more
