If I d relied on all the negative reviews I never would have bought it,I'm glad I did. And let me tell you why. I think that its childish children writing such bad reports f disappointment,because for 106$ this little machine is pretty awesome in my book. I've been an electronics nut for a long long time and am pretty judgemental when it comes to junk that breaks quick or is flimsy. I was pretty set back when I read all the bad that was said about it. Let me clear The air on a few reports. One was amount of USB recognition,in my test approximately the first 1000 songs will be playable.volume,was good ,not the loudest,not the bassist extreme,but the bass is there noticeably and did not distort at max volume in most instances.with batteries its a bit heavy yes,the strap is heavy duty ,no worries.light display is nice and bright. If you are only going to play rap music this is not for you,but I you're going to play country or rock this sounds great. Rap people go get a jvc kaboom,because that's the only thing that will satisfy that requirement. I'm very happy with it and give it 5 stars. ... show more

I bought this boom box because it has an antenna. And I live in a rural community so it picks up my one rock station, the sound is good.\n The other functions are a bonus. Wouldn't expect mp3 to b included the the speake.\n R's lighting up make me want to hang a disco ball in the center of my living room. But I gave it 4 stars, because the most important part of the dial is not lit. It has no light to see functions or volume or anything. Why they left that like that? I'll never know. ... show more

    • Great, until it wasn't.
First off, i loved this when i got it. sure it was a little large but the sound quality made it worth it. i use my boombox for work, which means it travels a good bit. Nothing intense, just moving it around by car and playing CDs for massage clients. About 3 months in the clasp that keeps the CD lid closed and allows it to play broke. i found a weighted rock to place on top of the lid and that allowed it to continue to function. Now i am noticing (after about a year) that occasionally the CD quits playing sometimes. Rare, but i cannot rely on it for work. i will say the sound quality and features are wonderful, but i recommend this for someone who does not travel with it very often. Amended review; because of the sound quality and hoping the problems were just a fluke, i bought another one. Within 3 months it has quit working. Just turns itself off. Cannot use any of the features. Do not recommend this machine in any way. ... show more

    • Large boombox to say the least
I wanted a decent-sized boombox to use easily "on the go" but this boombox is much larger than expected....but sounds well enough. It has subwoofers on both ends and 2 lit speakers on the front. The 2 subwoofers on the ends do not light up. It has FM radio and a top-loading CD player. USB connection also for MP3 player, but no SD card slot on this item. FM radio reception is fine....sound qualities seems pretty good......not very "boomy" but okay. No handle but a strap instead. I prefer an actual handle to carry this thing around. It does come with a remote control and hidden in a compartment on the front side of this boombox. Stereo presets is rather hard to figure out and does not seem to memorize the stations I preset. Overall, 3 stars I give this boombox. Sound quality is fine.....remote control is dinky and could be done better....not very portable......but has a rather nice look to it plus it has bass boost and a few other features. ... show more

I haven’t figured out how to make the Bluetooth volume louder like the radio. I turn my phone volume all the way up and the radio volume all the way up but it’s not as loud as cd or radio. It’s adequate though but not loud like a JBL bullet or other Bluetooth device.
