I have yet to assemble everything and I haven't used the lights aside from plugging them in to see ig they work but so far so great. The case is sturdy, all of the pieces seem to be there and of great quality. I think this is a great product especially for the price! It took me awhile to decide on a lighting system and I'm so happy I went with this one. The lights are adjustable, meaning ypu can change the brightness. Everything is great quality, I'm so impressed. I watched a video tutorial the seller posted on how to assemble and it seems very easy to follow, I only say that bc some people complained about how it's difficult to put together but it kind of resembles a tent like process. It doesn't seem too hard and I will update my review once the lights are in use. I was not asked to post this review nor am I being paid for but I base a lot of my decisions on reviews and hopefully I can help someone else make a smart purchase.     • Awesome light for the price, know your gear needs before diving into any lights.
As a 10 year professional in video and film, I had very little expectation with these lights. I wanted something light weight and cheap but usable for some youtube video work I was starting with my kids. These are not super durable Arri lights or Light Panels nor are they anything else you would find on most sets with a gear truck. They are super light weight, not to be banged around, but they're super bright and went together with ease. If you're looking for lights for small video work and won't be checking it on a flight or treating it like it's made of steel, these are great lights. Bought this light kit for my son for Christmas. He buys and sells products online and takes a great many pictures of his product before posting. One of the best features of this product is the dimmable light switch! To get 2 light dimmable fixtures with diffusing hoods at this price makes for a great product. We did have one small defect and one warranty issue 1) the hood - the velcro on the hood was coming detached and 2) my son over-tightened one of the clamps on the light stand and it broke the plastic housing of the clamp. I contacted Emart's customer service via the Amazon website and they were very responsive to my request. I was contacted by Miranda via email and she was courteous and quick to respond. I received the replacement product in short order. Thank you, Emart! We look forward to using this product for a long time!! ... show more

    • The nicest low cost lights you will find
TL;DR - Not bad. Probably the best entry level lights you are going to find in this price range. Let's get one thing out of the way. These are cheap. These are the lowest cost led with diffuser lights you can get that throws out this much light. The LED housing is plastic, the buttons are mostly plastic, the knobs are largely plastic. I'm not saying cheap is a bad thing, but you know the path you are going down when you are shopping for studio lights under 100$. Now, all that being said, these do the trick if you need some big fat light thrown in the direction of your project. The stands are sturdy and pretty common in this price range if you have bought low-end lights or stands before. If you have bought and photography gear off amazon or ebay in the past 5 years you probably have one of these light stands already. They work great for a multitude of things. The lights themselves are nice and bright and have a built-in plastic cover already on them. They have a handy-dandy potentiometer to adjust how much light you want and a switch to turn it from off, to useless orange light to bright white. My only big gripe is the diffusers. They are functionally fine but are hard to assemble quickly. It's like when you buy a 20$ tent. Yeah, you can sleep in it and it technically is a "tent" but if you bought the 100$ tent it will be easier to put up, take down, and have better construction. ... show more

The lights offer two colors (bright white and a yellowing white) and have a dimmer knob in the back. They were quick and easy to set up and work as expected. As others have pointed out, the stands are pretty light so if they were treated roughly I could see them potentially breaking. I'm using them indoors, so I actually appreciate the weight as it makes them very easy to move. ... show more

This is the one! Don’t look further, this lighting kit is so so good. The LEDs give off bright light in either warm or cool, the dimming function helps so much, and the size is perfect for tight spaces or spacious conditions, the power cord is loooong. The carrying bag is overly spacious, you can put tripods, remotes, batteries etc in there, the lighting kit takes up but 1/4 of it so there’s room for more equipment. The poles were tricky to put in though. I always keep the boxes assembled cuz it’s annoying to struggle to put the poles in. Besides that it’s perfect and worth the price. ... show more

Dont get me wrong, its kinda quality build product, alright. Its easy to assemble and it looks nice. However, the light is the most important thing in photography, and this thing just won't deliver the needed light. Period. Not in any way nor any scenario, this thing could be your main light. If you're an amateur trying to become a slightly better photographer, or even a pro -- forget about it, and do yourself a huge favor and buy a good pro equipment. Always. You wont believe the difference, the pro equipment can do. This thing is basically a pain and a money lost situation for amateurs trying to become better photographers. ... show more

    • Very impressed
I was not expecting a professional-level durability out of this inexpensive set, but I am very impressed by the quality, especially for the price. Mostly easy to assemble (the tension rods that put together the light box are mentioned in the brief instructions that they're meant to bend, but it's still disconcerting!), but the LED lights themselves are really outstanding, and I'm really glad I searched this set out (there are still plenty of CFL-based kits out there). For the occasional uses (personal, school sports, etc...) I think these will be more than enough. Only other personal note if someone buys this set is that I'd keep the brown cardboard boxes the lights themselves are packaged in. Sure, they wont last forever, but in the nylon carrying case the boxes should help inadvertent damage to the lights. ... show more
