It really is heavy duty! Delighted with the purchase. The smallest size in width is 6f to an inch, and you won't be able to overcome this if you need a smaller size. However perfect for my purposes. Another plus is the non-tripod, flat feet. Highly recommended for any convention or exhibition use. The bag could have more straps inside to hold all the pipes from rumbling around, but it does have separate straps for the feet.

I use this stand for my backdrop at book signings. The stand itself fits my needs. It is easy to set up and take down. Now I am tall so I can set up myself, but it might be easier with two. The issue I have with this one which I bought to replace the one I used for five years and wore out is the storage bag is crap. The last bag held each piece in individual slots this one does not so they rattle around and the zipper will come down on its own. I really hate to give a low rating but the bag needs replaced.

This stand is incredibly difficult for one person to manage. I thought it was going to be sturdier than my tripod stand - but is isn't, and it's heavy enough to break a glass coffee table or curio cabinet if it falls down --- which it did at least a dozen times (if not more) while I was trying to set it up/put it away. The poles come out of the rings on the uprights, and I got hit on the head a few times trying to put the thing back together. The adjustments (loosen/tighten) do NOT stay adjusted - the uprights sank down 2 feet several times -- and then it tipped over. Again. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!!!! I hate it. Do not buy this.

I did end up returning this product because I ended up not needing it. BUT I did put it together while I had it. It goes together fairly easily, although it was a little more complicated than the Fudesy I also bought and tested. More screws to put on and take off, and I always fear losing small parts. The Fudesy one also had a cool feature where you turn a screw and the rods would just extend or shrink with ease. This one you have to manually turn everything to get them up or down and lock in place. It seemed like I would turn the bar, and a DIFFERENT part (like the leg screws) would turn. I guess I'm just not mechanically minded. But the parts themselves feel very high quality, and they felt heavier/sturdier than the Fudesy. I would imagine this thing would be long lasting. One thing I liked more than the Fudesy was that the legs don't sprawl way out, meaning I could have fitted it in a tighter space (which is technically what I wanted/needed originally). The bottom bar felt like it made it pretty stable, too. Overall, I'd buy this again if I did have a need in the future. Due to the width/size alone, I would probably pick this one over the Fudesy.

While I like that its heavy duty, I've used this stand 4 times and the poles are an issue as they get stuck. They extended just fine but I was not able to push 2 of them back to the compact size. It is extremely frustrating and I've not been able to fix it.
