I've been flying a lot on airplanes and this pillow has been god sent to come home and sleep on. It really helps reduce strain on the neck and shoulders and gives me a great night sleep. I plan on buying another one.

The pillow is really well made and appears to have been well thought out for neck issues. I'm a hard case, I guess, in that I have very little curve in my neck and it's painfully difficult to find a well-suited pillow. I usually just end up throwing my pillow to the side and sleeping with my head on the mattress. I'm a weirdo, I guess. Anyway, I'm knocking off a point because I didn't have much luck with it but I do believe the intention of the maker is honest and likely largely successful with most folks. A super cool feature is that it comes with two different inserts so you can choose if you'd rather have a soft pillow or one more firm. The texture of the pillow also feels really premium and long-lasting. At this price-point, it's hard to say if it's a great deal. I mean, it's a well-made product and pillows are naturally expensive so I suppose it's a pretty decent deal. I may give it another go and if my thoughts change, I'll update the review. ... show more

I've been using the softer support insert, and as another review mentioned there are holes in the foam core where the inserts go. I assumed to encourage the different materials to stay in place. The inner pillow case is a gauzy material. The outer pillow case is a quilted polyester material. It slips easily into a standard pillow case. (I washed the pillow cases -- the gauzy one on delicate and air dried, the polyester one was washed with regular linens. It held up just fine.) Both have decent zippers, although since the pillow fits in a standard case, the pillow cases probably aren't as impactful as other pillows I've tried. I also aired out the memory foam for a few days. I'm a restless sleeper. I'm constantly switching out pillows, fluffing and rearranging because I sleep on my side, stomach and back. I usually have 3 pillows (a soft, fluffy down pillow; a medium polyester fill pillow and a body pillow). Usually, I wake both creaky and cranky. There's something terribly frustrating about resting being so unrestful. I've tried a lot of pillows, at a lot of price points, and cynically concluded that shaped memory foam pillows were a gimmick (or perhaps more likely intended for an average height range, as I'm 5'0"). This pillow design worked perfectly for me. I didn't wake up with pins and needles when sleeping on my side or my stomach. Once I became used to a different stomach sleeping position, I no longer even wake up when switching sleeping positions. But perhaps the most surprising thing was that while using this pillow I sleep more on my back, and I don't feel creaky in the morning. In summary, this was a surprisingly comfortable pillow for me. It replaced three different pillows, in the process eliminating all the fluffing and rearranging when changing sleeping positions. Resulting in a far more restful sleep. I have found some information about repurposing memory foam, as well as handwashing/spot cleaning so that information is available to people interested. ... show more

The contours are great for any sides you sleep on. I'm more of a stomach sleeper, I love the curved sides. Perfect for my arms to go around and I won't have to place them below the pillow. I have tried it on my sides, and it helped me sleep better. Very good pillow.

Ordered this because I get really bad migraines that start in my neck, so I figured this might be able to help. I discovered it does help when laying on my back, but makes the migraines worse when I lay on my side with this. This is the reason I gave it 4/5 stars, because it mentions it is good for side sleepers. Overall though, it helps a little so if you're trying new things it might be worth it. ... show more

I'm too used to conventional pillows, but I'm glad I gave this one a try. I am usually a stomach sleeper, and for those purposes, this pillow is made for arms to go on top -- which is not so comfortable for me. For stretching out on my back, though, it's pretty nice. One side cradles my head on the sides, while the other doesn't quite so much. For side sleeping, it's still a bit lower than I'd like, but such things are so very subjective to the individual. It's definitely better than a thin pillow! Do I recommend this? Not if you sleep on your stomach with your arms beneath the pillow like I do. The models in the images show the intended uses, and I believe that is how this pillow can be used best. ... show more

The description seemed to imply that the pillow came with additional inserts for adjustments. There were none in my package. Fortunately, it did not matter as the pillow was fine just the way it was. It did have a slight odor initially. But I followed their suggestion of washing the pillowcase and letting the pillow air out for a couple of days before use. With any pillow, an important factor is how long it holds up in use. That will take some time to determine. ... show more
