I bought two of these as gifts, one in each size. They’re exactly the same size! Why did I pay more when there’s literally no difference between the small and the large? But other than that I love them! They’re a great size with lots of room for snacks and drinks. My only complaints(besides no difference in sizes) are that the compartments are hard to zipper(atleast while empty) and the area for the plates is so tiny that only dessert plates will fit in it. Other than that they seem like the perfect bag for a picnic or event.

This backpack cooler has it all! I was initially looking for a picnic basket-type bag for an outdoor concert. I needed something that was easy to carry, big enough for food and drinks (including wine bottles) and a compartment for ice. This fit the bill! I've never seen a bag like this that is basically the only bag you need! I ordered the small size and it is HUGE so I can't image how big the large is! Looking forward to using this for many many other occasions! BUY IT!

I’ve used this backpack cooker several times now. It’s a bit bulkier than others I’ve tried, but it also holds more. It is ideal for carrying a picnic. The listing on Amazon said you can put warm food in one compartment and cold food n another. I would only do that if I were hiking/traveling for under an hour. The cooler was easy to carry, but it only had 6 drinks plus food at that time. When I took it last, it was a three day/3 night camping trip. I had another cooler for food, but didn’t want to crush our fruits and veggies with drinks, so brought this along as the drink cooler. It fit perfectly behind my seat. Each morning after breakfast, we bought a small bag of ice. A little more than half went into the main cooler, and the rest went over our drinks for the day in this. Because we were in bear country, the cooler stayed in our car in 80-83 degree day temperatures. We took a bottle of water on our hikes and would grab a cold drink from this cooler when we got back to the car. After the first day, there there seemed to be condensation on my car floor, but not on the bag itself. I checked everything, including the zippers, but the compartment with the iced drinks had no condensation on it, so maybe some ice fell out when we were grabbing drinks out in a hurry. The slim size means it fits well behind a seat, and I loved that we could store so many extra drinks in the rest of it that all took their turn jumping into the ice to be the next cold drink pulled out.

I got this cooler for multi day camping, hoping it would be an alternative to the big plastic coolers and I have to say I’m very impressed with it, though it definitely does not have the same level of insulation. It has two separate compartments: one for the cooler and two over sized side compartments. The cooler compartments are insulated and can easily hold the ingredients for a meal for 4-6 people ore in my case 3 meals for one person. You do need to be strategic for longer trips as ice packs will need to be replaced with camping ice. It keeps them cold for a long time but because someone wanted trader joes root beer ice-cream I know that over 8 hours ice cream will still be cold but it will melt fairly aggressively even on an air conditioned drive. The backpack cooler is made of sturdy fabric with a water repellent coating, so it can withstand some rain and dirt. The straps are adjustable but thin and it has been extremly useful as an alternative to a larger cooler or a hand held one since I broke my arm. I have used this backpack cooler almost a dozen times already, taking it camping, hiking, picnicking, and tailgating. It has performed well in all of them, keeping my drinks cold and my food fresh. It also has enough room for everything I need, without being too cumbersome. It is perfect for day trips or overnight stays, as it can double as a utility bag to help take all the garbage out the next day, just make sure to double bag everything.

If you like what you read and see in this listing's photos, you should like what you get. The bag is very well made with exception of the shoulder straps that seem to be a little on the thin side. I'm not sure how well they will hold up over time if the bag is really packed out most of the time. The bag is waterproof and leakproof and holds the temperature of my drinks for a long time.

This back pack cooler is very versatile it can be used for practically any occasion. It has several different compartments that vary in size. No leaking and keeps items cool for long periods of time! I do have issues with the zipper at times but over all this has been a great cooler for our family.
