The product appears to be well made. However, there is one thing that baffles me. The rubber strip on the guard bottoms don't extend to the full length of the guard. It's a little more than an inch too short at the heel. Why?? If you are to wear these while walking you will step right on the spot without the rubber! Hard to keep centered on the blades. The little groove in the bottom twists and pops off. Then you're walking on the stretchy side material all of a sudden which is pretty slippery!

Ordered these thinking they were the regular Elites, not knowing the pro-guard was different. These have thick foam type padding that look like they are made for walking around in, maybe even a short parking lot walk if you get ready in the car. They run small, I have Bauer skates size 10 and I got the XL and they are a perfect fit. I originally bought L and they fit but way too snug even though it says up to size 6-10. Thus, if you are size 12-13 I would get the XXl, etc. Size up if your size is on the higher end of the suggested sizing. These are great that's why they are a little more expensive than the other options on Amazon, but it it worth the great quality. ... show more

The description is inaccurate and said will fit size 6- 10 but they did not even fit the size 9 I have and would have been dangerous to try and force it too (because the sharpness of the skate blade)
