The media could not be loaded. Update: After several months, I love this jar opener and highly recommend it! It works great and is super useful, especially after my recent shoulder surgery while my arm is in a sling and can't be used. I can operate this opener one-handed and it easily opens large jars and small bottles as shown in the attached video. (It took 45 seconds total to open the bottle in the video once I aligned and pushed the start button on the opener - the video shows the main 30 seconds. Also note that once the start button is pushed, you don’t need to hold the button down as it will work on its own.)     • Works better than expected
Opens gallon water jugs with caps 1.2 inches wide. Have not tried bottle 3.5 inches but one close tov3 inches and opened easily. Great price so I bought to test if this could work with little strength/ effort. Passed. Giving to senior whose hand strength is declining over time

This bulky opener works well once you get the hang of it. It doesn't work on smaller jars or bottles, but for the bigger things, it works well.

A must have for anyone with arthritis in their hands. It's easy to use and gets the job done. This would make a great gift for a elderly person living alone. Very glad I bought it.

    • Screeches and Fails to Work!
This opener didn’t work for me at all. While trying to open a jar, it reached a certain point and then stopped working, producing a horrible screeching sound. The quality of this product is truly terrible. Initially, I was pleased with its appearance and thought it would be a reliable tool. However, it turned out to be completely incapable of performing its basic function. When I used it, the opener started off fine but quickly got stuck and stopped moving. Worse still, it began to emit an unbearable screeching noise. This not only prevented me from opening the jar but also created a significant noise nuisance. Moreover, the design is very poor. The handle is not ergonomic, making it very difficult to use and uncomfortable to hold. Every attempt to use it was incredibly frustrating because it never managed to complete the task and wasted a lot of my time and effort. This opener completely failed to meet my expectations and is an utter failure. I not only wasted my money but also had to endure this infuriating experience. This product is absolute garbage. It can't open orange juice bottles with slanted caps, and it's useless for large caps that are hard to grip. While it works for some bottles, it fails to accommodate the variety of sizes and shapes I need. Overall, this product is completely impractical and utterly disappointing. ... show more

As I am getting older, my hand and finger strength has been declining, making it difficult to open jars. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well this worked. I was unable to open a pickle jar even after banging the lid on the counter and running it under hot water so I decided to try this. I did not position it properly the firs time so it popped off of the jar. I was more careful on the second try and It worked! It opened the unopenable jar.
