Amazing how fast this dries given the low wattage. Took me a minute to figure out the tray placement, but looked at the Amazon listing which has a good illustration. I like the small trays and the fact that they are stainless steel. I don't have to worry about any chemical transfer. It holds plenty in my opinion. Could be a problem if you have a very large garden, but I don't. There are no loud bells or timer noises on this model because there is no timer, which isn't an issue at all for me. It's very quiet while it's running, and no louder than an average fan. I find it's best to turn the trays around from front to back halfway thru drying time because the front part facing the dial control seems to dry faster. Highly recommended dehydrator. ... show more

Received this as a gift. I love the temperature control feature. Allows me to choose my times for a variety of foods. The stainless steel trays, they are easy to remove & replace as well as clean. 5 stars for the aesthetic 3 stars for the size. Smaller than I had expected so not as big a batch as I'd like can be done at a time. Still works well. A great starter unit for a newbie or someone doing spices. Honestly I wasn't ever able to use this as somebody completely busted the bottom with an ax. But I gave it five stars because it did have a nice setup I like the fact that the layers are expandable and height and it's also collapsible to put up a little easier.     • Takes way too LONG!!
Im starting a small candy business and in the interest of getting products out faster to my customers, I decided to throw my candies in the air fryer to help them drive faster. However, in my gourmia air fryer, there is a dehydrating function. When I set them in there at the lowest temperature setting, which is 95, it only takes them around three days to be ready at full hardness. But in this dehydrator after two days, they are nowhere near ready, which means it’s taking me double the amount of time which is really unfortunate for how pricey it is. ... show more

    • Only really works for herbs/spices
Could be much better. Plants and herbs it does great, but fruits, meats, vegetables, anything with even the slightest bit of moisture it is not the tool for the job. Tried making apple crisps and after 2 days they were still rubbery. Tried jerky a few times and same issue, after several days was no where near dried enough and began to decay even with thin slices. Cherry tomatoes cut in half only dried the outside and the centers turned to gooey paste. If your drying herbs it's good but that is about all it's good for. ... show more
