I brought this flatiron over a year ago (11/23) and I just used it last night (1/25) I love it. If you have long, thick hair this is for you. One pass and my hair was straight. My hair is mid back (stop at the bottom of my bra), thick wavy texture. People say I have a lot of hair but a small head. It took me about 15 mins to flatiron my hair. I love this and mad I’m just now using it! If you want to cut your styling time and don’t mind the larger sections then it’s good for you.

Such a high quality straightener! I bought for my daughter and now I'm buying another for myself. We have thick, long, course hair and this works perfectly. We only have to go over the hair once or twice and it does an amazing job. Hair is smooth and shiny! I've been straightening my hair for over 20 years and tried expensive name brands that just didn't cut it. This straightener IS IT for my thick hair!

This review is for the Elilier 1¾" Hair Straightener. I didn't receive a new item, I received an item that had clearly been returned. It was in a box, but the flat iron wasn't wrapped in anything, it was just haphazardly shoved back into the box, the cord was tangled, and the iron was scuffed up. I only paid $13.00 because it was a "deal" (that should've been my first clue) so I decided to try it anyway. I see why it was returned. First, the plates don't properly close. The best way I can describe it, is they're off track. Second, it gets too hot. I had it on 400 degrees, and only did a couple of passes before I stopped because it kept getting hotter and hotter, and I was about to burn my hair off. In a nutshell, I received a previously used, defective item. I was going to return it, but like I said, it was only $13.00 so it's not worth the effort. Plus I don't want anyone else to end up with this defective item so it's going in the trash.
