I bought two Elikliv EDM43 microscopes. One for me and the other was a gift. I haven’t had any issues with mine, however just after the 90 day send back expired. The gift wouldn’t turn on anymore. I called customer service and they sent me a replacement right away. They were easy to get a hold of, I just emailed the link on the manual it came with.     • Could’ve Been So Much Better with a Couple Modifications
If you want a microscope to operate as a standalone device and you want to zoom in and focus on a particular aspect of a subject, then you will be completely happy with this Elikliv microscope. It’s not difficult to assemble, charges fast through the USB connection, and holds a charge for a long time. It’s easy to get used to how to adjust the knobs for a crisp view and how to manipulate the settings to take pictures and video. The company included a MicroSD card (already in the slot when I received it). If you want to connect it to a PC it is a nightmare and will waste a lot of your time, like it did mine. Yes, I got the blue screen on the microscope. I downloaded their zip file per their instructions. My computer recognized the files. The Smart Camera would not connect. All I kept getting was a perpetual sliding green bar. I did not feel comfortable inputting my wifi and password into the settings to try the IP camera and do not think that should be required with this type of device just to see what’s under the microscope on my computer screen. I was ready to give up on the whole thing when I disconnected the USB cable from my computer and then saw the microscope would work without being connected to the computer. Which brings me to my second complaint. The image is crisp and clear, but I do not like that I can’t view, or more importantly, take a photo of a whole quarter. I can zoom into parts of the quarter, but it is impossible to view the whole quarter at once. The only way I could do this was to remove the base from the stand, hold it about 4 inches higher, adjust the knobs again, and then snap a photo. It’s like you have to create an extension for the base because it’s not long enough. Sometimes the LED lighting can cast subtle yellow shadows on a shiny object such as a coin. This is a really cool affordable little microscope, but because of the buggy Smart Camera file and not being able to view and photograph an item like a quarter in whole, not just in part, the microscope’s functions fell short for me. ... show more

    • Interesting novelty for kids
This is not a professional device. The screen and camera are not of a high enough quality to give you color and detail accurate information for a professional use, but they are great for kids as a fun science gift. The build is very cheap for the cost, and most phone cameras exceed the capability of these lenses. Most modern phones with a macro lens adapter will functionally replace this device in a practical sense. If the build were better, the color accuracy were at least *close* to right, and the resolution were higher, this would hold a strong position at this price in the market, but as it is I wouldn't recommend this unit for more than for children. ... show more

    • This is junk, nothing works right and this is the SECOND replacement
The unit is junk (the second one was worse) won't hold focus, doesn't adjust and gear slips. REfuses to charge battery no matter how long it charges. this one did come with a memory card, last one it was missing. On / off switch is faulty. RETURNING THE SECOND UNIT. Don't waste your time.

I like this Electron Microscope by Elikliv, the compact size takes very little space on my desk top when I use it connected to my laptop. I like the nice screen the device has built in that has good picture quality (1080p resolution ) as well as magnification capabilities up to 1000 times . This microscope is far more powerful than my magnifying glass that I used to use to examine coins and other objects that I needed enlarged to get the big picture. This microscope even came with a 32gig micro SanDisk card that can store the pictures I take of my specimens. There are a couple of specimens included on slides one of bee wings and another of onion skin which I could not tell what it was ,I think it may be a bad specimen. The Microscope works fine actually excellent while viewing coins which is the main reason I intend to use this device for. This microscope will be a big help if I decide to catalog coin photos on my laptop at the push of a button. As you can see its just 5 pieces so assembly is simple and takes just a couple of minutes 4 pieces for the microscope the fifth piece is the supplied USB charging and PC connecting cable. What I did not like is the fact that it did not come with a few empty slides. If you want to examine truly microscopic specimens you will need to purchase some additional slides. When using, the microscope has its own led lights to light up the specimen. I think this will make the tedious job of searching through my change jar for coins that have greater than face value actually more interesting and fun. ... show more
