  • Great microscope
Super easy to use, fun for all ages, my kids look at ants with it, I use it to read the super tiny print on computer labels.

  • Highly recommended! Works perfectly as advertised.
Very good toy, works as advertised. In fact, given my low expectations for toy telescope/microscope on general, this one works way better than I thought, which was a pleasant surprise. The magnification is great and the digital pictures that come up on the screen is crisp and clear, and really shows the make up of different textile, material, almost like a real scientific microscope! While the very clever design of this toy gives my child the convenience of bringing it around and point at different things. We brought it with us on hiking trail and our children had fun pointing it at leaves and flowers and ants, allowing their curious minds to explore and learn about different structures. Really couldn’t expect more out of a toy microscope that has so far been quite durable (think we’ve lightly dropped once or twice but still working!) and really just working as advertised. My friends have seen this and already asking where to get it. Highly recommend. Thumbs up! ... show more

  • Great microscope!
This microscope will get up close to whatever you are looking at. The only problem that I can see with this microscope is not with the microscope itself but with my shaky hands. I don't have a steady hand so it is difficult to get a good clear picture with out a tripod or something to rest it on. Other than that it works great and is very easy to use. Great for macro photos. ... show more

  • We'll see how she likes it.
I just gave this to a young friend today so I don't know yet how it will do... but on the advertising material and packaging I wish there were at least a couple of kids, and that they included a girl and a child of color. The focus knob was very stiff. Great concept.

I bought this for my 7-year-old nephew and it was his favorite birthday gift. he carries it around everywhere. he uses it as a microscope and a camera/video camera. bought this after reading a good review in the strategist for this as a recommended birthday gift for a 7 year old and they were right on. very good gift for that age range. ... show more

  • Amazing and hours of fun
This is an excellent product, similar to a microscope, but much easier, versatike and quicker. My daughter is obsessed with hers. Note: There is a slight learning curve at first so don't discount this too quickly if it doesn't seem to work right away. You have to get the object you are observing slightly up into the platic case towards the lens- if held flat on an object it usually appears very fuzzy, like a fog or just a grey screen. Amazing product, has completely facinated a 5yr old, 8yr old, 42 yr old equally. Whenever we get it out, we usually end up with a solid hour of investigating the world around us. My daughter can't get enough and has not gotten bored of it in the 4 weeks we've had this. Excellent concept and product. Very pleased. ... show more

  • Great just played around for 10 mins kids love it, more practical than regular microscope for kids
Great just played around for 10 minutes and kids love it, more practical than traditional microscope for kids. Will post more comments. Update: After a heavy season of use. This is a great STEM tool for all kids to see the miniature world around them. Easy to use for 5 and above(haven't tried younger kids). Of course for $50 it's not perfect and not the most advanced camera. But design features like the lens being set inset further in to avoid accidental touching or poking of the lense. to the durable plastic case. This is a must have for piquing the curiosity of kids towards developing their mind. From kids in a crowded urban setting to vast countryside a must have item. ... show more

  • It requires an adult to figure out how to properly use it.
It is not for a young child. No parent is going to have the time to understand how to aim and focus the lens, then supervise the child’s use of this toy.
