    • Terrible Instructions, Unable to Connect to Windows PC - Excellent Customer Service
UPDATE: Elikliv reached out to me via email and made right the purchase. While they couldn't solve the technical problem, I am very satisfied by their customer service and support. I've upgraded my review to account for their excellent customer service. I'm prob above average in tech savvy... built my own DT, upgraded PC components, digital cameras/basic editing, etc. This has been one of the most frustrating tech purchase I've made off Amazon, and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product to anyone... DO NOT BUY!!! The set up assembly is pretty easy, and it's prob on par on quality for the price (it's not that sturdy, and a bit of play/looseness on the parts). The LCD works just fine, but the problem is when trying to connect to your Windows PC. You can't do it! The instructions are essentially worthless, as it says use Windows Camera and select the microscope. Sounds easy enough... until the device does not show up. The Microsoft help blog provided some tips, but that didn't work. Searched Google for other free viewers, and installed three different ones, and they don't work either. Oh, you think, why not just go to their website and download the latest driver? Well, that would be great except the Elikliv website is down... as in not working, not valid. So that's a thought in any warranty support... no way to communicate with them. So if you want a USB microscope that can't connect to anything... this is ok. If you want an USB microscope that doesn't work with Windows, and a vendor with a non working website... this device is for you. I have to say this has been a very frustrating tech purchase in a long, long time (it's even more frustrating than trying to network my wireless HP printer). ... show more

Would have given 5 stars if product had been new but I could tell by how everything was it didn’t come from factory like that as far as working as it should it does and magnification is good able to see smallest insects on plants if that’s what you need it for

Easy to setup and use. Has a good range of focus. I don’t believe it is 1200 magnify. Looks more like 120X to me. Still a good deal for what I need.

    • Will NOT connect to my computer.
It's great for seeing what I need to see, and it really does a great job BUT I need some of the photos ON my computer to save for coin reference purposes and no matter what I do, this microscope absolutely will not connect to my computer. I can't even return it to get a better version because I no longer have the box. I don't what I'm going to do at this point because I had to save a long time just to buy this one, I can't afford another one now. ... show more

This is my first microscope for soldering. For the price, it's great and exactly what I needed. Workspace is limited due to the platform design, so might not work as well for large projects. I'm super impressed with this digital microscope! The set up was quick and easy. Outside some very basic assembly, it's pretty much plug and play. My son and I played with it for a good hour. We looked at some ribbon, my wedding ring (which needs cleaned!!), a piece of cereal, then he brought me some of his small rocks collection and we looked at tiny fossils, crystal clusters, and more. It was very easy to zoom and focus with both the manual controls on the 'scope and with the remote. The images on the screen were bright and clear. We took a large sample of photos and video, (I've attached a photo set showing a small rock in hand, then six photos taken on the 'scope up to max zoom, plus three other random rock photos.)
