OK all my life I’ve had perfect vision and as I’ve gotten older that unfortunately has started to go away. I have trouble seeing things most of the time however, there’s 10 inch screen and 2000 magnification is phenomenal. The lighting on it is amazing and even the platform under lights things like slides or agates or other similar transparent items become bigger than life. Prby is the high cannot zoom in on something even with perfect vision when I was younger than 1200 times the detail that this microscope and we dial into is amazing. The display is crystal clear it’s easy to put together. I absolutely love this thing and as a rock hound everything I find is right underneath it. It is absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend spending the extra money like I did going to the 10 inch monitor and enjoy because I know I do.

Nice scope, it has a small bed & no way to mount the scope off the bed, so if you're looking to so soldering on anything larger than maybe a 5" wide board you won't be able to see the edge. Also it's not a big deal because you can just unplug them, but I don't understand why there isn't a switch for the lights.

NOT ENDORSED BY THIS SELLER OR PRODUCT. I bought this on the off chance it would aid me in my learning to assemble watches. Well, as the pictures indicate it's doing the job perfectly. These NH watch movements are very small and exceedingly difficult to work with, everything about them is small to minuscule. The setting pictured is only about halfway up the camera/monitor mast with a slight amount of zoom. The remote control gives you capabilities that if you took the action by touching the unit could knock things out of the work area. BTW, if it had not worked I planned to use it in the home-schooling of my grandson who adores all this scientific. As it turns out this system comes with five glass slides with things to see on them and a back-lighted viewing box that plugs into the base of the mast. I could not have spent better money for a product. I'm leaving this review because it's always easy to bitch about a bad product but few folks will take the time to say good things about a product that really works. I know it's Chinese, and I have to hope it lasts a reasonably long time before something breaks, but I'm very pleased so far and needed to let you all know. Cheers from a happy watch building grandfather.

UPDATE: Elikliv reached out to me via email and made right the purchase. While they couldn't solve the technical problem, I am very satisfied by their customer service and support. I've upgraded my review to account for their excellent customer service. I'm prob above average in tech savvy... built my own DT, upgraded PC components, digital cameras/basic editing, etc. This has been one of the most frustrating tech purchase I've made off Amazon, and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product to anyone... DO NOT BUY!!! The set up assembly is pretty easy, and it's prob on par on quality for the price (it's not that sturdy, and a bit of play/looseness on the parts). The LCD works just fine, but the problem is when trying to connect to your Windows PC. You can't do it! The instructions are essentially worthless, as it says use Windows Camera and select the microscope. Sounds easy enough... until the device does not show up. The Microsoft help blog provided some tips, but that didn't work. Searched Google for other free viewers, and installed three different ones, and they don't work either. Oh, you think, why not just go to their website and download the latest driver? Well, that would be great except the Elikliv website is down... as in not working, not valid. So that's a thought in any warranty support... no way to communicate with them. So if you want a USB microscope that can't connect to anything... this is ok. If you want an USB microscope that doesn't work with Windows, and a vendor with a non working website... this device is for you. I have to say this has been a very frustrating tech purchase in a long, long time (it's even more frustrating than trying to network my wireless HP printer).

This picture is of the lines on a 1mm ruler. It's really astonishing to get this level of zoom and picture quality for this price as a replacement for a dissection scope. It's way more convenient than a binocular scope as well, nice big screen, no adjustmenting and fiddling with the eye pieces. Overall very pleased with it for a hobby to light professional work.

This is my first microscope for soldering. For the price, it's great and exactly what I needed. Workspace is limited due to the platform design, so might not work as well for large projects. You can see from the photos that picture quality is great. It's a budget scope, but it's been a game changer for me.
