    • How to silence the squeaks and clicks.
I purchased this pedal to add to my collection of Elgato devices which I use for creating educational videos. I wanted a way to hands-free control my Teleprompter. It integrates well within the Elgato universe, and seems to be well designed. It's proven more useful than I thought, and I've integrated it into my workflows using many other applications. However, and this is a glaring deficit, it's NOISY. Stepping on it results in loud squeaks and clicks, obviously apparent despite microphone filtering on audio tracks. I almost sent it back, but luckily found a two-part workable solution. First, simply turn the device around, so the USB port and LED are facing the user. This allows a greater degree of control over the angular position of the pedals, and a lighter touch. A 90 degree USB C adapter helps with cable management. Turning it around also makes the LED visible, making it easier to find the black pedal in the shadows under your desk. Second, to REALLY silence the pedal, go to StreamDeck > Preferences (the cogwheel icon) > Devices > Stream Deck Pedal. Move the Sensitivity slider all the way to the left. This allows you to trigger the pedal with a much smaller movement, and thereby cuts down on a lot of opportunities for it to make a noise. Use a light touch on both the press and the release and you'll be able to switch it in almost complete silence. I bought the pedal refurbished from Amazon and have had no problems with it. I've noticed online that the noise issues apply to the new units as well. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase, and would have given it 5 stars if it was noiseless without these hacks. ... show more

This integrates well with Discord and is made to last. Great materials, no issues. I needed something other than relying on mouse buttons or keyboard keys for Push To Talk functionality when playing PC games with friends.

I mean nothing happened... it was working fine one morning wasn't turning on... I'm in Argentina Right now so... returning this will not be possible, sad story for me, Learned never to buy a refurbished one again.

Granted I bought this renewed, but this product is long on promise, short on delivery for me. I have the most sensitive springs installed, yet the delayed reaction is crazy, and sometimes there's no reaction. I have to keep my foot on the correct pedal for it to initiate action, no matter what I have it configured to do. And often the Pedal's "action bar" shows that I've pushed the pedal, but nothing happens. And I'm not doing anything really advanced with it. Disappointed. ... show more
