The fact that the seller has the audacity to use the word "cashmere" in the name of this item is laughable. The polyester material this wrap is made of is INCREDIBLY thin. It's not remotely "plush" or even particularly warm. If you're not wearing it outside, I'm sure it will be fine--you'll look a bit ridiculous, wrapped in a faux-fur-trimmed stole while indoors, but you surely won't overheat. Wearing it outside, during any weather cooler than 45 degrees Fahrenheit? Better wear your woolen long-johns, because this thing is NOT up to the task. I'm really disappointed, because at $45+ it wasn't super cheap, and I had hoped to wear it as an alternative to a winter coat for an outdoor holiday event, but it's really more for show than for warmth--and it's not even that great as a "for show" piece. If you put it over your face and look up at the 60-watt ceiling light in your living room, you'll be able to see through it. In case you think I'm exaggerating, just for funsies, I've attached a photo of my living room's ceiling light, as seen through the fabric of this cape. You make the call. Bottom line: if you're looking for a warm, high-quality outer layer to keep out the cold winter winds...keep looking. ... show more
