I definitely recommend adding a soft surface on top of the platform because even outside I can hear how squeaky it is when my dog gets on or shifts. That being said. It’s a cute shelter and it works. It’s a lot smaller than it appears in the photo and it’s definitely made for a small dog. My dog is 25 lbs and he fits well but I wouldn’t use it for a bigger dog. My dog took to it right away. He previously hated outdoor dogs houses because they are too inclosed and he was afraid of them. This is a good open and airy alternative. For those reasons I would recommend.

I ordered this small shaded bed for my 6 month old small breed puppy and it barely works for her. She is only 10 lbs so please take note that this bed is SMALL! I was easily able to follow the instructions and put it together. I found them quite simple to understand as they were just pictograms with a few worded tips. The metal and plastic frame pieces are all easy to identify and, once assembled in the correct order, are a very stable structure. The bed doesn't sit far up off of the ground, and has rubberized feet. I do wish the cover was more of a grey like the pictures show, than the beige color it is, but I'm sure my pup doesn't care. The cover is quite a tight stretch to get it to expand into place, and yet still has some space around the edge where wind and rain could easily come inside. I do not believe this top cover is very resistant to the elements so I will not be leaving this outdoors. The base is a solid piece of material and not the typical mesh these elevated beds usually have. It definitely seems perfect for very small pets who would like a small, elevated, covered place to settle and chill. I plan to use this mostly indoors, where my cat can also enjoy it, but also use it out on my back patio if I'll be working in my backyard for a time so my puppy has a shaded place to lay down. Overall, the frame is well made and easily assembled, it is quite cute, and seems comfortable for small pets. The price is also really great so I would recommend it to others with very small pets!

I got the elevated dog tent by Caghash for our two little monsters. The size is perfect for our two Maltese dogs (each weighing about 8.5 lbs). It is big enough for a small bed and both dogs fit comfortably inside. Assembly was okay. Instructions were not entirely clear. With a little common sense, I was able to put it together in a few minutes. The tent is lightweight yet sturdy. Not sure whether it is waterproof. I plan to keep it inside the house. One suggestion - in the Amazon listing, please include the distance of the tent's floor to the ground. I measured this distance/height to be about 6.5 inches. Our taller dog has no problem jumping that height to get into the tent. However, our shorter dog is unable to jump that height. It's not a big issue - I just put a bed underneath so she can step on the bed to get into the tent. I think potential buyers need this info so they can determine if their dog can get into the tent by himself/herself. All in all, it's a cute, sturdy little dog tent. Our dogs love hanging out inside it.
