I ordered the 4-inch for my Rat terrier/chihuahua mix and as you can see from the photo, it’s still just not quite tall enough. But I believe the 10-inch would have been entirely too tall. I may try to add a board underneath, just to lift it a couple inches more. Then it would be perfect. Bowl sizes are great for her little food and little mouth. ❤️ The bowl is more shallow than her doggy sister’s well-worn stand and that helps a bit with the stopping to eat but still not quite a fix. Easy to assemble, instructions well-written and concise. Seems very sturdy and the paw print cutout is perfect for picking up the entire stand when sweeping, etc. ... show more

    • Difficult Assembly - nice looks
Yes I know what you are saying - should be too easy to put together. Wrong - Just one will give you sore fingers and I bought two. Yes they are sturdy and look good when together. The pre-drilled holes were not aligned making getting the screws in at angle very difficult. BUT what was worse, the screws are allen head screws and the tool they give you is a small allen wrench. You will be swearing everytime you drop the small slippery wrench and swearing how hard it is to turn with the wrench bearing into fingers while trying to tighten the screws into mis-aligned holes. Get someone else to put it together, so you can report how nice it looks. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love the bamboo, I did waterproof it, as we use it outside. At first, I thought the bowls were going to be too small and planed to cut the slots bigger and get new bowls, but it works, easy for her to eat and enjoy. The water bowl is small, and we have several water bowls available for her outside so I did not find this a problem. ... show more
