(I also spend a lot of time in bed during flares). Well, round last winter, I was scheduled for a hysterectomy and my mother in law wanted to upgrade us to a Cali king instead of the queen we had for years. We SPECIFIED to the man at Macy’s that we needed medium-soft, and why. What arrives a month later and a week before surgery? Medium-hard. But it took the delivery team an HOUR to get the bed up my townhouse steps. They asked me to try it out after they took the wrap off. I immediately realize the mistake… but I’m introverted and a coward so I say it’s fine. For weeks we laid on that terrible mattress and wept. Now to the mattress pad. It took our mistake of a mattress and made it exactly what I needed. Support, with a fair amount of floof. It’s great and we’ve had it for some time. I just give it a shuffle when I change the sheets and it’s good to go! So if you too are too cowardly to send your firm bed back to Macy’s, this is the mattress pad for you. Or if you just like comfy mattress pads.

I bought this for our guest bedroom after changing the sheets and seeing our existing "tired" old mattress cover - which was flat, stretched and ugly. This arrived quickly and was bright, soft, and plump. Our mattress was already comfy but this makes it more so. The only drawback was putting it on the mattress. I have a queen that has a slight pillowtop and it was a little difficult to stretch the cover over the corners. But once I got it fitted, the mattress felt very snug and looked good on the bed. My daughter and her husband slept on it and said it's very comfortable. I'm sure it will become easier to put on with time.

The topper certainly does add more softness to our memory foam mattress. My wife and I are both side sleepers, and our memory foam mattress is very good, but we were both still having to change position often due to hip pain. This topper has allowed my wife to sleep on her side all night without hip pain! I still am experiencing hip pain, though I'm able to lay on my side longer than before, but I weigh much more than her, so I'm pretty sure that is why. We plan on taking this with us when we stay in hotels, because we both experience severe hip and back pain from the conventional box spring mattresses most hotels use. Highly recommend, but must disclose that this will not help if you are heavy.

This product is incredibly comfortable and completely as advertised. It's really comfortable and does not compress, even after 2 months of using. In addition, the elastic mesh( like a contour sheet) all around it make it a cinch to put on. It arrived immaculate and fresh, and stayed that way. Be sure to order exactly your mattress size because it is fitted well. I ordered one size up by mistake, and it hangs over a little, but it's all good. It transformed my bed. I think the cost is reasonable, actually excellent, and I would buy again.
