This engraver is a pretty good one. I know there's allot of reviews where they say it's hard to set up but I set mine up in about 15 minutes. The only downside is that you have to make sure you align it and set the origin because if not it will go to far and bump the edges but other than that I like it this picture is the first one I did and it came out good ... show more

    • Feels a little underpowered.
I’ve been playing with my Phecda since the moment I got it (10w w/ air assist) and it feels like the machine is underpowered. I’ve checked all connections just to make sure, and with certain settings it certainly works just ok. I’m having to use 100% power and low speed to get it to engrave words on to hardwood; which is why I bought the engraver. With other 10w lasers I haven’t had this issue but I’m a fan of elegoo so I thought I’d try it. I’m going to continue to play with it to see if there is something I’m missing. But as of right now I feel like it’s going to be a return. EDIT : Elegoo did reach out to me about the issue almost immediately after my review had posted to speak about it. Their resolution was to have me run diagnostics on the brand new machine.. I’m not about that life. The process would have been check everything, send in the machine, and wait to get a new one back. I’m nearly positive it would be faster but to send the defective one back to Amazon and buy a new one.. but I’m not going to get another phecda. I will list what I did and did not like about the phecda though. Pros : the machine itself looks nice, the touch screen is reactive and the machine is quite quiet. It stood tall enough that I could fit a couple of boards under the laser head the prevent burning my table if the head unit was not placed correctly. It’s light weight so if it needed to be moved it was easy to pick up and move. The printer was very reactive with light burn so it made attempting to use the engraver easy. CONS : there are no end stops to this engraver, so the machine has no idea where the laser head is at any time. It’s very easy to have the laser crash in to the sides when it’s framing. The orange filers sit too high on the printer so it doesn’t really protect anything unless you’re looking down on it while it’s sitting on the floor engraving. I never could get the WiFi and app to work.. though it seemed like it was very limited in what it could do. Putting the machine together wasn’t too bad, it took just about the same amount of time to put any other engraver or 3D printer together with the exception of 4 bolts. The 4 bolts what were used to hold the legs to the frame were absolutely frustrating to get in their hold so they could be attached to the machine. Also on this machine it’s harder to adjust the laser than other machines because it has two knobs you have to loosen to adjust the head up and down.. which makes it very easy to accidentally move the x and y axis.. which leads to crashing in to the frame if you’re not careful. All together I think in the future elegoo will have an awesome laser engraver but this one’s not for me. ... show more

    • Caveat Emptor -->Z axis issues!
Hey all, DO NOT BUY!!! The worst thing about this product is the enclosed (smoke eater) X axis. The air line and laser cable routing is horrible. Laser cable drags on target material, and with scratch board that causes marks/smears. The fan is a gimmick, not helpful except for marketing BS!!! I've had this 10W Elegoo Phecda for a week, also bought leg kit and cutter bed, camera kit, Geeks at Large limit sw kit. It does ok as an etcher/engraver BUT.... Whoever designed the laser mounting and enclosed X axis must have been the same one that picked the name PHECDA (rolls eyes, wipes brow). Shesh. No way to use Elegoo leg extensions with my Mogonice cutter bed (about 3/4" thick). Two leg pieces is WAY too high, 1 leg is too low. Custom time. The laser mount has two screws but too far apart to adjust the Z axis for focal point without the top screw missing the laser mount sometimes and next thing the head falls down, not good for a print job to say the least. T am hoping someone will after market an open X axis so this could be used correctly with a secure mount and better cable path, like ALL other laser X/Y devices. I will MAKE IT WORK, but I recommend potential customers go with a better company. EleGoo has made a name of shame with this "Designed by Marketing" laser. ... show more
