- Steps for Use: After receiving the steel plate, first peel off the transparent protective film on the surface. Clean the surface with alcohol to keep it clean (the pattern of the print bottom may fade or disappear if wiped with hands or other oily substances). Attach the plate to the print bed and level it carefully, making sure not to let the nozzle scratch the surface, as this can affect printing results. After printing, wait for the temperature to drop to a safe level before removing the model.

I purchased this for use on my Ankermake M5. It is not a perfect fit. It's a little bigger than the original build plate. However, this is not an issue since there are no stop/alignment guides. As a matter of fact, the little bit of excess makes it easier to cover the entire plate on the first try. The patterns on this plate are awesome. I printed a couple of things in Sunlu white PLA+ filament. Usually, they say black is best if you want to see that holographic effect. But I can see it just fine on the white. You can see the rainbow like circles grow and shrink with the angle of light. You also get a smooth as glass finish on the bottom of your print. So far, I have not had any bed adhesion issues. I highly recommend this build plate if you want a smooth holographic bottom surface.

I love the patterns this plate leaves on the bottom layer. It was a little learning curve getting my fist layer to stick to such a smooth surface but I lowered my first layer to 20 mm/s and it sticks like a champ and the patterns look good.

After buying this, I've never gone back to the glass bed that came with my Ender3v2. It had a nasty warp in it and it made it hell trying to get proper bed adhesion. I use the PEI Texture plate primarily and it saved my sanity. Things are so much easier to get off the plate now. The graphic plate is very nice icing on the cake and does a great job.

The pattern definitely transfers, but even as a 6-year, fairly familiar 3d printing hobbyist, I still struggle to get bed plate adhesion on any filament I use. When you get a perfect, and I do mean it has to be perfect, first layer, it looks and works great. It the bed adhesion, even with glue (with glue the holographic effect will not transfer), a taller print can come free from the build plate mid print. Be weary that if you are not experienced, and are not confident in your ability to tune a fist later to perfection, you may want to save your time and sanity. Other than that, for the price it is a well made build plate, the textures have lasted multiple prints now, and if you’re okay with tuning almost each print for the first layer, then I’d say it’s a decent value for the niche “wow” factor of the effect on the face of your prints.

This is not 300x300 so it doesn’t cover the whole plate. We ordered another type from the same company and we had the same issue. We found one through another company in the 300x300 and it fits perfectly.
