  • STAINLESS SPRING STEEL WITH PLA & PETG SETTINGS: Made with 100% stainless steel for heat resistance, high elasticity, rust resistance, and long-term durability. The thickened PEK/PEC surface film provides stronger first-layer adhesion, improved flatness, and better resistance to bubbling for repeated use. The steel plate withstands temperatures up to 200C and is designed only for PLA and PETG: use a 6570C bed setting for PLA and 7585C for PETG. TPU, ABS, and other filaments are not supported. If adhesion is insufficient, gradually increase the bed temperature within the recommended range or apply glue to improve adhesion.

Keep the PEK/PEC sheet free from fingerprints, oil, and residue, as oily contact may cause the printed pattern to fade or disappear. Attach the flexible steel plate to the print bed, level the bed carefully, and prevent the nozzle from scratching the surface. Allow the bed to cool to a safe temperature before removing prints.

Get it, it transfer the hologram perfectly but it looks better on dark colors and perfect first layer. Also, for some filament brands I had to use wiped off hairspray and the hologram fades a lot, don't use glue because you'll lose the smooth texture also. Love this plate. It handles my prints better than the Prusa smooth plates that came with my printer. I’m about 100 prints in and there is no visible damage to the plate and the hologram designs are a fun addition to almost any print. You have to keep it super clean for the best results but you should be cleaning your plate after every print anyways. ... show more

Finally an effects plate for the H2S that works. I’ve purchased several smooth plates similar to this. Some adhere on one side, but not the other. Some work only if I scrub it REALLY well and slow the speed down to almost nothing. I tried one side of this, and my first print worked well. It was something small that realistically probably should have had a brim. I figured I must’ve just gotten lucky- I barely even washed it. I tried the other side and that print worked perfectly as well. I know that’s only two prints, but I’ve spent more on plates that I was never able to get two good prints out of. ... show more

    • Bed adhesion is very weak, but plate still functions

The pattern definitely transfers, but even as a 6-year, fairly familiar 3d printing hobbyist, I still struggle to get bed plate adhesion on any filament I use. When you get a perfect, and I do mean it has to be perfect, first layer, it looks and works great. It the bed adhesion, even with glue (with glue the holographic effect will not transfer), a taller print can come free from the build plate mid print. Be weary that if you are not experienced, and are not confident in your ability to tune a fist later to perfection, you may want to save your time and sanity. Other than that, for the price it is a well made build plate, the textures have lasted multiple prints now, and if you’re okay with tuning almost each print for the first layer, then I’d say it’s a decent value for the niche “wow” factor of the effect on the face of your prints. ... show more

I purchased this for use on my Ankermake M5. It is not a perfect fit. It's a little bigger than the original build plate. However, this is not an issue since there are no stop/alignment guides. As a matter of fact, the little bit of excess makes it easier to cover the entire plate on the first try. The patterns on this plate are awesome. I printed a couple of things in Sunlu white PLA+ filament. Usually, they say black is best if you want to see that holographic effect. But I can see it just fine on the white. You can see the rainbow like circles grow and shrink with the angle of light. You also get a smooth as glass finish on the bottom of your print. So far, I have not had any bed adhesion issues. I highly recommend this build plate if you want a smooth holographic bottom surface. ... show more
