  • Great Little Water Heater --- Whole-Heartedly Recommended ---
Style: Blue 11
We love this smart water heater for our bonus/mud room! We use it for the recently added sink/dog washing station and as it is able to use the existing electric and water that were there for the old laundry set-up, we found it very easy to install. The outlet was wired with a different connector and the breaker had to be changed, but the wires were the correct gauge. So, with the hard part already done, we just had to mount this and let the plumber do his thing for less than half a day. he loved this unit and all its assumptions were what he expected, it seemed, as he had all the little bits we needed. It is very efficient and easy to use with the help of the app. It is more than we need for a dog wash or pre-treating the laundry. Originally the hot water in this room was good enough for clothes as we never use hot water, just warm washes, but for the dog and our dirtiest clothes we couldn't get the water to this room without just waiting a long time for the pipes to warm up. Now, the water is hot within a few seconds of opening the valve and it remains perfectly set for as long as we need. The sink faucet and it's various tasks are never too much for this heater, but it may be too small for a large house all by itself. this heater does this so well that I would whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a compact, smart water heater. I think this is a fantastic value. ... show more

  • Low energy and infinite hot water. Low energy and infinite hot water.
This is a pretty amazing little water heater. I have installed a big Rheem gas continous water heater in the past. It was smaller than a tank heater, but even that was gigantic compared to this tiny heater. Installation is pretty simple provided you have the plumbing and electrical in place. It takes 60A of power! That's a 6AWG conductor, so don't expect a conventional water heater circuit to handle it. It will need some dedicated existing circuit or an electrician may be needed. It functions great to deliver 3.6 gpm of continuous flow. A low flow shower is about 1.5-2.0gpm. A conventional shower does around 2.5. A bathroom sink is about 1.5gpm. So, this could power a low flow shower and a bathroom sink with hot water at unlimited capacity. The unit itself looks to be made well. Electrolux is a Swedish company with a reputation. That makes me feel safer having a 60A appliance from them. In East Asian countries you see these mounted right in the showers, but that always feels scary having that power in there. Apparently they are very safe. This is very efficient. The energy star label predicts a $152 annual cost of electricity. A 50 gallon electric tank might use $500 in a year, so this thing pays for itself in one year. That's a great deal. In another year, it would pay for electrician. In year three, it would start earning you money. It looks cool. It is small and easy to install. It is simple to use. It functions well. Nothing bad to say. Five stars. ... show more

  • Instant Hot Water, Cant Run It w/ a Dishwasher, Scale Inhibitor Veracity Uncertain but Im Skeptical Instant Hot Water, Cant Run It w/ a Dishwasher, Scale Inhibitor Veracity Uncertain but Im Skeptical
Style: Infinite 14
I've been meaning to get a tankless hot water heater for a long time. I got a 240V breaker installed a long time ago. When I saw this one, I decided it was finally time to pull the trigger. And oh what a difference it makes. Instant hot water, and I mean instant. No more having to rush through a shower so my bf doesn't run out of hot water when he takes one after me. In my area, electric rates are significantly lower than gas rates. Even in the summertime when I use AC all the time, my electric bill is still lower than my gas bill. I had a gas water heater before so I'm looking forward to the savings. The app is a nice touch, but I've probably only adjusted the temp on my water heater once I'm the last umpteen years. Once you figure out the right temp, why would you need to adjust it? Is that something people do? Once you have it where you want it, that's what the faucet handles are for. Imprrant note: This is not going to make your water softer. The scale inhibitor if it actually eventually works, is not meant to make your water softer. It's just meant to accumulate less scale and therefore need very expensive maintenance less than every single year. I noticed others claiming that their water is less hard. I'm sure it's true. But the same would be with any brand new water heater, traditional, or tankless. Old water tanks usually have a lot of sediment buildup, which makes water a lot harder. There's two big drawbacks with this water heater. One is a drawback with basically any tankless water heater. It's only capable of heating 3.4 gallons per minute. The average shower takes 1.5 to 2.5 gallons per minute. Dishwashers use about 2 gallons per minute while they are filling. Because of energy efficiency, they use very little after that. But In theory, and I tested it.... In practice too... You can't run them both at the same time if somebody started the shower first. If the dishwasher is already past the filling cycle, you can get away with it. There may be other applications to this that I am currently unaware of, but that's definitely food for thought. The biggest drawback is simply risk. It's expensive for annual descaling maintenance for a tankless water heater. $300 -$400 in my area. That's the price of buying a traditional water heater every couple years if not sooner. So will the scale inhibitor actually work and enable me to only do the maintenance every few years instead of every year...? Only time will tell. But it's definitely a risk. Because of that inherent and expensive risk, I honestly don't think any tankless water heaters of any kind should really get five stars. This particular unit is very inexpensive and a great value for a tankless water heater. It remains to be seen if it was worth it.. ... show more

  • Electrolux Tankless Water Heater Electric 14kW - On Demand Instant Hot Water Heater 240V
I bought this Electrolux 14kW tankless water heater to replace an aging tank unit, and honestly I’ve been very impressed so far. The biggest difference is having hot water almost instantly without waiting for a tank to heat up. It’s compact, takes up very little space, and the digital controls are easy to use. Once installed, it provided a steady supply of hot water for daily use, and I noticed the temperature stayed consistent without sudden fluctuations. The unit is also much quieter than I expected. What I like most is the convenience of endless hot water and the energy savings that come with heating water only when needed. The build quality feels solid, and the compact design makes it ideal for smaller utility spaces. Installation does require proper electrical service, so it’s important to verify your home's electrical capacity beforehand. Overall, it’s a great upgrade for anyone looking for a modern, space-saving water heater that delivers reliable hot water on demand. ... show more

  • Easy install, instant hot water forever
Compact water heater that's perfect for small or awkward locations, where a traditional heater might not work. I've got mine in an RV that lives on shore power, where I have plenty of electricity but don't want to deal with the added complication of having to keep the propane topped-off all the time and running out of hot water in the middle of a relaxing shower. This works GREAT. Hot water on demand, as long as you want it, and the installation was simple. The only downside is the hit to the power bill, but I'm happy to pay that price. ... show more

  • Better Than Expected Hot Water
Style: Blue 11
This tankless water heater is impressively compact and has worked very well for point-of-use or smaller household applications. The unit heats water quickly and provides consistent hot water without the standby losses of a traditional tank heater. I also like how little wall space it takes up compared to conventional water heaters. The WiFi monitoring is a nice modern feature, though most people will probably set it once and leave it alone. One important thing to understand before buying is the electrical requirement — this unit needs a dedicated 240V circuit with substantial amperage, so installation may require electrical upgrades. As long as expectations are realistic about flow capacity, this seems like a very solid and energy-efficient option for one to two fixtures. ... show more

  • Tankless Water Heater Electric 11kW
I am beyond impressed with how much power this sleek little unit packs! The installation was surprisingly straightforward, and it fits tucked away perfectly without the bulk of a traditional tank. The on-demand heating is truly "instant." For an 11kW unit, it handles a single shower or a sink with plenty of pressure, though you'll want to avoid running the dishwasher and the shower at the same time. The Wi-Fi control is a total game-changer for monitoring temperature right from your phone. Pro Tip: Make sure your breaker box has the room for a 240V hookup before you start so your installation goes off without a hitch. Pro: Instant, endless hot water and a space-saving design that's very energy efficient. Con: Best for a single point of use; won't support two hot showers simultaneously. An efficient, modern upgrade that makes a world of difference for a smaller household or guest suite. ... show more
