I've been using these for a few months as FOH speakers for an acoustic band. I think they are very good value for the money. Fairly neutral, natural, accurate reproduction. Some harshness when they are pushed too loud (but before the limiter kicks in). A number of reviews complain about the finish being easy to chip/scratch. I have not experienced that. Would buy again if I was in the market for speakers at around this price point.

They’re still out working putting in over 15 hours a week, however I bought two for $550 (2014)and two more for $450(2015).. and it out lasted my qsc (2013) that costed double. Soo if you’re paying above $600 just get the newer digital version or try another wood speaker. They sound as clear as any of the new ones.

Buy a more powerful speaker - would be fine for a solo acoustic monitor but not for a stage monitor with full band Need to go with the k-12 or something need more power! Sad not avail for return but totally understandable tries to save a bit of dough. Again this is a fine product but buyer beware make sure it’s being used CLOSE to singer / player and NOT needed for being heard more than 50 feet away outside (as was the case for my needs )

This speaker is fantastic. I bought two of them for my mobile DJ set and I have been more than pleased. Although not cheap, the 12" subwoofer will shake houses and the compresser is great. Sometime when the bass is extra loud it will overtake the compressor but who can complain about too much bass. The multi imputs are great for my setup with RCA, XLR, speak-on and 1/4", it really is impossible to find a way not to hook these up. And I use the link output to link my two together so I do not have to run a second RCA from my DJ mixer. I will note that the linked speaker seems to be a bit quieter than the one receiving the signal, but that can be easily fixed by messing with the knobs. Also, these speakers are LOUD LOUD LOUD LOUD! I am fearful to turn them all the way up, and I am not shy about loud music. The LED indicator that flashes bright yellow when you are peaking is really nice. Got it to flicker once. Flashing means you are getting close, and solid means you are in trouble. The EV symbol on the front lights up which is a cool feature. There is a standard tripod mount on the bottoms of these. cons: they are a bit heavy, but for 1000watt amp built in, I was suprised. Plus they have a really nice handle to hold on to. Also the button to activate imput 2 from a line to a mic is very small and the 1 time I had to use it, I needed a paperclip or something similar in size to push it all the way in. But not a big deal to me and got over it. Overall: If you are a mobile performer and don't mind the price and need an awesome loudspeaker, your long search is over!

I was excited to received my speaker yesterday, just a few hours before work but when i was all set to soundcheck i realize the speaker does not have any high end frequency. The sound is muffled & majority of what comes out of the speaker is Bass. I am extremely disappointed and i am requesting urgent help because i recieved my product faulty. Please assist at your soonest

I've owned EV loudspeakers in the past and was very satisfied with them, however these loudspeaders are dissappointing. I noticed was how noisy they were upon firing up them up for the first time. The "hissing" noise was a bit loud, even without plugging anything in them. These speakers were returned quickly.

These speakers are extremely portable, have amazing highs and mids, and easy for setup. They work as EV speakers are supposed to work: amazing for the vocals and lights sounds of any music. Guests compliment me all the time for the beautiful sound they emit. Do note most of my events are weddings, birthdays, anniversaries. Only downside and the reason I won't give them 5 stars is they are not as good with lows, but for that reason you should buy the corresponding EV subwoofer to truly have a complete, comprehensive bass thumping beautiful sound.

For the price, you cant beat them. Light weight. Loud. Crisp, clear sound. Of course, you can find speakers that sound better, but they'll be significantly more expensive than these guys. I know others have commented that they scratch easily, so I made my own covers using moving blankets from a local hardware store... cost me 6 bucks for 2 covers, a minimal amount of time and a small amount of skill to operate the sewing machine. No scratches so far. I use them for DJ speakers. I'm strongly considering buying another pair as a backup/rental service.
