The media could not be loaded. Well this is one of the BEST Amazon purchases I have made. I am my Father’s Primary Care Provider. I recently had to tell my Dad that he could no longer drive his cars, two Infiniti’s in different cities. My dad is a Career Decorated Military Officer but at 88 he is also a Stage IV Cancer patient. He has spent a lot of time in Hospitals which take a lot of walking. After his chemo started he has needed assistance with mobility, a Walker and Transport Chair (not self-propelled). We have stopped his Chemo, it almost killed him. He is getting cognitive back now. I felt he could manage a motorized, electric chair. I wanted one that would be light and look cool. I chose this Encarefor model. We have only had it for two days now and we took Dad to one of our favorite walks along the Chatahoochee. He Loved the freedom to be with us and stop when he wanted. It folds up and travels easily. Looks badass. Thank you Encarefor. I know he will enjoy this while he can control it and it has a manual mode for when he needs more help.

IT DOES NOT WEIGH 34 lbs as advertised it is more like 40 plus which makes it harder to load in addition it folds up awkwardly.

I wanted to love this electric wheelchair as it had most of the features I wanted: low weight (40 pounds with battery), large wheels (lighter wheelchairs have smaller wheels that do not handle well in rough terrain), and a high passenger weight limit for my overweight wife. Unfortunately it's driveability is very poor, you drive into things with limited control. I suspect cheap computer chips provided the slow response in turning. This is our 4th electric wheelchair. The first two were Fold & Go chairs that were excellent but too heavy (56 to 60 pounds) for an old and weak man. Both still work fine. My third was a Matrix carbon fiber wheelchair, but it only lasted 1-2 years with a frozen wheel hub. Note that any return of this item that you pay shipping to California. Addendum: I removed the left front wheel and loosened the spring such that the wheel turned more freely. It works great now as long as the wheel does not fall off. Addendum 2: After lengthening the left front wheel spring, the right front wheel was not in great contact with the ground. Having learned that I did not have to remove the wheel to lengthen the spring, I easily increased the length of the right spring (no user manual). With a screw driver pry open the cap on the upper wheel rod. Then use a 19 mm socket to easily adjust the spring. Other items to note. Firstly, the battery is much more powerful than either the Matrix or Jazzy carbon fiber wheelchairs. Lots of getup and go. Secondly the retractable foot rest rises above the seat such that if you have it raised to sit down, it is uncomfortable and difficult to lower if you cannot easily raise your thighs. (Consider this if you need to raise the foot rest while sitting at a restaurant.) Alternatively you can sit down sideways with the foot rest down.
