Replaced my old tank heater with this unit and have been very pleased with it. I had a plumber re-pipe my laundry room and an electrician run the new increased amps circuit. Also added an inline descaler with a 3 year service life which is very nice. My house is 2 bathrooms and I only ever use 1 or 2 points of use at a time. A shower and the washer together would be my largest load on this system and it can keep up with no problem. Anything more and I would probably go with a larger 3/4" unit. It does take several seconds to heat up when the water in the pipes is cold, but once it does the water stays consistently hot. This unit also had the best warranty for the price out of all the other units I was considering. When I saw steam coming out of my washer I knew I had made a good purchase with this product.

We went from a huge tank to tankless. Very happy we did have an error at 1st and reached out company response was fast and very helpful. Issue was the new breaker was not working correctly and after replacing the error went away.

Didn’t work once it was installed. We got no hot water. Had to buy another unit from Lowes. Installed to same way. The new one worked great. We done everything the same. Had to return defective unit. Follow Up from Greatbear. Customer service reached out to me next day. They asked me to go over the hook up. I explained that I needed to buy a new water heater. They fully understood my situation. They reassured me I would reach a full refund. They also helped out to off set my added cost for new unit. It was unfortunate that I received a damaged unit, however I would buy from Greatbear again if I needed a tankless hot water heater because of there great customer service. Thumbs up on customer service.

Our water heater died and this popped up just in time. We're using it temporarily as a whole-home water heater but will upgrade to a larger one and move this one to the shed/workshop/man cave eventually. We have an average water temp of 67 degrees from the city, so this is large enough to really get water hot for showers and everything in the house surprisingly. The heater feels solid and well built, a great value and purchase!

The media could not be loaded. Compact and efficient, this hot water heater automatically heats the water as you use it instead of storing hot water in a large tank and dispersing it. I installed this electric hot water heater in my cabin, and I am very impressed with its performance. I have purchased other tankless hot water heaters before, but they were all the gas variant of design. This tankless electric hot water heater works very quickly and effectively. It takes about ten seconds for the water to become warm enough for me to enter my shower, and then it provides steady temperatures until I finish. I tested the voltage/power consumption, and this unit is not as power efficient as it claims to be. However, it works great, which is the most important feature for me to consider. Installation is more advanced due to the thick gauge of wire needed to safely run a 240V appliance. I had to hire a general contractor for installation due to some local codes in Michigan. For the price point, this is an excellent alternative to water heaters with big tanks that are costly and run out of hot water quickly. The space-saving design allows for installation is spaces that regular tanked water heaters will not. With the GreatBear 14KW On Demand Water Heater, I never have to worry about running out of hot water while taking long therapeutic showers for pain and arthritis relief.
