I first was skeptical of the price versus the quality that would end up at my door. They shipped it quickly and I was amazed at the actual size, quality and weight. The unit was very easy to install I just caution anyone looking to buy one to really think on placement. The electric wire is very expensive and you have to run 2 sets of it, I used 6-2 romex x 2 and then had to buy 2- 40amp 220 breakers. Depending on how far from your breaker box is from the unit it may cost you more in wire than the unit itself. Installing the hanger brackets needs to be precise measurement it calls for in the install directions, being off by an 1/8 inch doesn't let it sit tight on the wall. At this time it has been 3 days since I installed it and it works great, very easy to set the temp. I personally like seeing the actual flow rate displayed when it calls for hot water. It brings the water temp up quickly and it holds it at that temp consistently. I understand that the water temp output will be directly affected to the water temp input so we will wait and see what the winter has in store for us but I feel confident that I chose the correct size and proper placement. At this point in time I am very pleased that I purchased this unit and I would recommend it to anyone skeptical on buying one. Just remember buying the proper unit for your area and household size does make a difference. I also needed to contact Ecotouch after I placed my order and they responded quickly and politely.

It was a pretty easy install. I used 1/2 inch copper pipe with foam insulation so it heats up the pipes fast and they stay hot for a while. I had to turn the temp down to shower without getting scalded. I started at 125deg. and knocked it down to 112. I thought there would be more heat loss from the basement. It also does good for a bath. The temperature swings high when you use full flow and shut the water off quickly, the heating elements are still hot so switching from tub to off to shower can produce a section of 139 deg water. I didn't have any problems with the threads leaking or not fitting, probably because I chose all my fittings carefully at the store. Inspected and tested several and took the best fittings. and used a good amount of Teflon tape and the rubber washers that came with the heater. Its been running great for over a month now with no problems. Happy customer. I will buy the same one again when we move. UPDATE: 3 Months and running great.

Easy installation. Pretty straightforward but contacting customer service is is a waste of time I wrote a question to their support email (the only way given to contact them) and still haven’t received a response. I can’t believe trying to get support or warranty returns will be any better. Plan on buying a new one if it stops working. It works beautifully now so maybe it will be a while before that becomes necessary. READ and follow the directions Lower rating due to nonexistent support. The product seems fine but has only been in service for two days

Prior to installing the Tankless Water Heater, it would take ~ 1-½ minutes to get hot water to our bathroom sink. After installation, it takes under 10 seconds to get hot water. Within a 2-week period after installation I had 3 or 4 instances that the water was coming out at below the room temperature. I was getter 4 dash symbols on the display panel. When it did that, I had to push the start button and the hot water was back up and running. I E-mailed Ecotouch on a Saturday evening regarding the issue and to my surprise, I received a reply Sunday evening from Elaine. She said that the unit goes to a standby mode, i.e., the 4 dashes when there’s been a complete power outage. Another causse would be if there was a timer on the line. I assured her that we hadn’t had any power outages and there’s no timer on the line because I ran new line from the breaker box to their specs, i.e., #10 wire, 30-amp breaker at 240 volts. She requested all the info regarding the Amazon order, and I sent that info the Monday. On Tuesday, I got an E-mail from her that she arranged to have a new replacement sent. On Wednesday, she sent me the tracking # and on Saturday I received the replacement and it’s been running great. As far as Elaine’s customer service, it was fantastic, it’s been many years since I experienced customer service like that! The water heater is well built and comes in a custom heavy duty walled cardboard box I have mine set for 110° F and I checked the water temp with a thermometer at it runs exactly what the setting is set to.

I purchase this water heater sometime ago but once I installed it work great for a while. Then somehow had some issues and it seems was a bad connection inside. I quite don't know what. I contact them by email and they answered back. . They were very helpful. We discussed ways to fix the problem or what could cause it. I tried several ways to figure out and at the end they just sent me a new one, which I installed and it works perfectly. I guess sometimes there is one bad apple. The new one works Great!!! Again thank you to everyone in ecotouch for your solidarity. Great customer service!. The water heater is convenient, works instantly and it feels solid. I've got the ecotouch 9. Yes I would purchase another one.

Installed according to instructions, running on a 30A 240V circuit, this thing can’t even keep up with one sink. It will only heat if flow is less than 0.6 gpm, but according to their chart, at my inlet temp it should be able to heat at 1 gpm. And that’s not all. If this unit loses power, it does not return to the previous power state when power is reapplied. So, for example, if your power “blinks” during a storm, you now have no hot water until you manually turn this heater back on. Mount it in an easy-to-reach spot, or you’ll be sorry. Sure enough, you really do get what you pay for.
