  • I'm happy with it, so far!
Color: Gray
After hours of research and days of pondering, I ended up buying the A1 version of this scooter and it arrived 5 days ago. I bought it to replace my former scooter, which lasted me 10 years. The 1st thing I noticed was the handlebars were higher than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. Any adult will be comfortable with them. The little display on the handlebars is pretty cool. It shows the "mode", speed and battery level, which are all I care about. It comes with a screen protector installed that was annoying to me because it wasn't long before it looked like it was coming loose around the edges. At first, I thought it was just the flimsy clear plastic film that I peeled off the headlight. But, after trying to take it off for a few minutes with no success, I finally took a razorblade to it. It was actually still holding on pretty well, even though it looked like it had lost adhesion. It turned out to be pretty thick, like a smartphone screen protector. But it came right off and left no residue behind. I'm sure it would stay on for awhile if I'd left it alone, but the look of it was annoying to me. If you don't mind the appearance, you can leave it on there for protection. The Bluetooth smartphone interface is also cool and has some useful info. In it, I can see how far I've ridden today, how many miles I've put on it overall and the specific battery power remaining (i.e. 82%, vs the 1-5 bars on the scooter's handlebar display). It also has a few settings you can change, like the "mode" (slow, medium, fast, basically) and you can turn on/off the lights and cruise control. You can also choose the startup method (kick to start on/off). The app you need is called "Tuya Smart". It works great. The width of the deck was a bit disappointing to me. I wear a size 12 shoe and I wished the deck was a bit wider, but it turned out to work just fine. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if it were 2" wider, but it's not a show stopping issue for me. I've ridden it for 20-30 minutes per day for the past 5 days. The 1st thing I noticed when I got on it was it felt a bit...unwieldy. I suppose it's no different than other scooters of this style, but my last scooter felt more stable, so this was a surprise to me. That's because my old one had wider, taller wheels and air-filled tires. But, it was also 3 times the price of this one. After about 30 minutes on it, I felt much more comfortable with it, so it turned out to be ok. I can zip around on it just fine now. One reason I chose this scooter was the hard tires. For some reason, my car and my old scooter keep picking up nails in the tires. Roofing nails. I guess a number of the folks in my neighborhood had recent roof work done. Airing up the little tires was a hassle since the wheels are small, the valve stems are small, there's wires and brakes and suspension...so the valve stem has to be in a certain spot in order to access it. Plus, changing the inner tubes was way more of a hassle than working with a bicycle's tires. I just didn't want to deal with air-filled tires any more. The ride is a bit bumpier at times with hard tires, but I feel it's a good trade-off for me. The suspension on this one does work great, but, due to the hard tires, I still feel a lot of bumps in the road and all of the expansion joints in the sidewalks. Again, not a show stopping issue as I've gotten used to it, so now I only notice it on rougher surfaces that last for more than a few seconds (Like yesterday when I happened upon a brick sidewalk, sheesh!). My last scooter was 48v 1000w, so the specs on this one concerned me a bit. I'm 6' 1" tall and 210 lbs, so I expected to not see the listed performance from this scooter. But, I was pleasantly surprised to see the speedo at 22mph while riding it. I'm not sure if it will go slower when the battery is low on power, but I've had it down to 25% and it still did 22mph. On about a 15 degree incline, it only dropped to 15 mph. When I started up that same hill from a dead stop, it still reached 12mph and got up the hill with no problem, which was impressive to me. It actually outperforms my old scooter. As for range, it looks to be about 15-16 miles for me. This was expected, due to my size and the hills around my neighborhood. The headlight is very bright. It's great for making me visible to others and it provides enough light at night to see what's in front of me, giving me time to stop or avoid obstacles as needed. There's also a bell, which has been handy a couple of times. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive scooter. The only caveat I would add is if you live in an area where you don't have issues with punctures, I would opt for a scooter with wider, air-filled tires. It would give you a smoother, more stable ride. By the way, if I have any issues with the scooter at all, I will update this review. So if you're reading this and I haven't mentioned any issues...rest assured no issues have come up. Cheers! ... show more

  • Inexpensive and reliable transportation or just for fun
Color: Gray
I shopped for a long time, read countless reviews and watched dozens of videos before I settled on this Alloweek electric scooter. I'm a 62yo man living in an urban setting. I'm 5'8" and 163-165lbs and this scooter does just fine. It takes a little getting used to but it isn't difficult at all. I would suggest a school parking lot or some similar location for the first ride. I hopped on it like I knew what I was doing and shot right out into the street before I knew what happened. Fortunately I live in a fairly quiet neighborhood so the street was empty. It has 3 speeds but there are 4 if you use the app. It is said that this machine will reach speeds of up to 20-21mph... I have no idea if it will go that fast or not. Speed seemed important until I actually got on it and rode around but I haven't used the highest speed setting yet. 16-17mph has been plenty fast enough for me so far. I'm glad I got shock absorbers but I'm on the fence regarding the solid rubber tires. My original thinking was getting stuck somewhere with a flat tire and it's still in the back of my mind but I would imagine that pneumatic tires would also offer an even smoother ride. Honestly, the ride isn't bad but every crack in pavement is felt. This is a very portable scooter. It folds up and can be carried just about anywhere. There are carrying straps and even big scooter bags available to make carrying and storing even easier. I downloaded the app and suggest anyone with the Alloweek electric scooter do the same. It makes the scooter a bit more user friendly in that you can disable the scooter so it can't be turned on and it lets you customize a few things. I haven't ridden at night so I can't say much about the headlight besides that it works. It has high low, a daytime setting and a power saving mode and there's also a rear brake light. Apparently the headlight really sucks up the juice so I added an auxiliary light for additional safety and to save the main battery power for riding. I added a handlebar case, a phone holder and I just ordered an insulated drink holder. I'll be zipping around in comfort and style this summer 😎. I'm quite happy with my Alloweek scooter and I'm looking forward to many rides this summer. ... show more

  • Mechanism to lock in upright/folded position rapidly malfunctioning
Color: Gray
I bought this scooter for my teenager to get herself around for a little bit of freedom. Originally, it seemed great! But within just before a months time of owning the scooter, the mechanism that locks it in place to fold and unfold seemed to start giving her some trouble. On her latest ride (just outside the return window by a week go figure) the mechanism did NOT lock in place correctly after unfolding. She hit a very small bump which she used to be able to go over with ease, in the sidewalk and the scooter folded with her riding it causing her to fall with injuries needing medical attention. ... show more

  • A Solution for Urban Commutes!
Color: Gray
A Solution for Urban Commutes! I recently purchased the scooter, which has completely improved my daily commute. Speed The speed is another standout feature. The scooter can reach up to 18 mph, which feels fast yet perfectly safe. It’s great for zipping through the city and getting where I need to be in no time. Plus, the acceleration is smooth and responsive, adding to the overall enjoyable riding experience. Battery Range The battery range is phenomenal! On a single charge, I’ve been able to travel up to 15 miles, which is perfect for getting to work, running errands, and even taking scenic rides on the weekends. The long battery life means I rarely worry about recharging, making it highly reliable for everyday use. Headlights The built-in LED headlights are incredibly bright and provide excellent visibility at night. This makes evening rides much safer and more enjoyable. The sleek design of the headlights also adds to the scooter's modern aesthetic. In addition to these highlights, the scooter is lightweight, easy to fold, and extremely user-friendly. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or new to electric scooters, this model is a fantastic choice. It’s well worth the investment and has exceeded my expectations in every way! Highly recommended! 🚀 ... show more

  • Good value scooter with decent speed and battery. And AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
Color: Black
i recently left a 2 star review on this scooter because of what i assumed was poor build quality, I need to redact that review, and try again. after the seller saw my poor review they reached out and were surprised by my assessment of the a1max, saying there must be a mistake, and offered to send a replacement scooter. When the new scooter arrived (literally 1 day after messaging with them) I compared it with the previous scooter. My initial review mentioned bent and cracked parts, and when i compared the new one it came to my attention that the frame was bent on the first one probably during shipping causing the failure of the parts. I did not catch it when i unboxed and assumed it was from my first ride. So that all said its a great little scooter for the money. It doesnt quite hit the advertised top speed but does cruise along at 19mph, the battery life might make it to 50 miles if the rider were barely over 100lbs with the wind at their back and in eco mode going 5mph, but in sport mode going 19 its good for close to 20 miles which between that and the speed makes it a great value, and a good option for a commuter scooter that doesnt have to go enormous distances between charges. All in all a good purchase Id say! ... show more

  • 1.5 Year Review 1.5 Year Review
Color: Gray
For what its priced, I think this scooter is somewhat worth it. I am roughly 240lbs and i live in an area with terrible roads, and this thing has gotten me to where i need to go and maintains its top speed relatively easily. After a full year of having this scooter, there have been a few issues that come with wear and tear; E7 error code, throttle was broken Fully worn bearings, both of these issues i have gotten serviced with a trusty e-bike repairman in my state. I cannot stress it enough, make sure you check your bearings!!! Solid tires really do a number on them after a full year of commuting, If you dont listen for them and let them decay, your motor can completely fry! Thankfully i got mine serviced in time, so my scooter will be on the road for a while longer. (foreshadowing) Battery life has remained mostly unchanged since the first day i got it, which i am thankful. I am able to get to work and back (about 4.5 miles total) on sport mode with 3 bars remaining. Overall, I am very happy i went with this one, even though it was a slight gamble, transit fares eat up my wallet much more than this one purchase did, and thats always nice. :) EDIT 5/11/26 Scooter is no longer on the road, the neck finally snapped on my way to work. Overall i made even with this scooter in transit fares- but it sucks because i just got it repaired. due to the design of these particular scooters, the neck bears a ton of stress and my roads did not treat it kindly. Something worth noting: my scooter came WITHOUT washers on the wheels which resulted in my bearings breaking prematurely, which is the manufacturer's fault, and I have changed my rating to 3 stars because of it. take what you will from this review! ... show more

Color: Gray
I recently purchased the Alloweek A1 Electric Scooter or my 12 year's old son, and I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance and design. The scooter offers a smooth and comfortable ride but the frame is not strong as it seems my son went over a bump and the whole frame just broken in half. Was very disappointed and it seems like this is a manufacturers problem. ... show more
