This is very sturdy and splits logs easily. I would definitly recommend this for home use. It took be an hour to split a full pickup bed of wood with ease.

Splitter works fine. Only slight problem is the wheels are a bit too small, but other than that, the unit works well and I am pleased with it.

Definitely like the Built Hard log splitter. Highly rated on This Old House. You'll need a 20 amp circuit to run the machine. Immediately pops a 15 amp. Assembly was a little awkward since the splitter is pretty heavy. Also, check the hydraulic level before operating. Does not come with fluid and I needed to add some. When checking the fluid level, the splitter needs to be propped up in a vertical position. Again, because of weight, not easy to do since I got the splitter with the stand which is on wheels. Wheel chocks are a handy tool for this operation. Operation is fairly easy. Split some 1 ft. long oak logs up to 9" diameter without issue. DON'T, DO NOT EVER PUT YOUR HANDS BETWEEN THE RAM AND THE LOG OR THE LOG AND THE WEDGE!!! Good luck. ... show more

Love this Wood Splitter.. Definitely glad that we ordered this unit it gets the job done. easy to move around very sturdy I wouldn't mind having a table built up to it and I may do that , thumbs up good stuff.

I used it to split about 2 cords of oak and pine. Will split anything shorter than 20.5", largest log diameter was about 11". Used it about 10hrs total so far and works great. Highly recommend getting the stand with it to save your back. Also bought a cover, will leave it outside for now, bring inside in Winter. Would buy again, saved a lot of $ vs renting. ... show more
