This Extractor is good for a small backyard beekeeper and economical. It was easy to assemble and clean afterwards. it extracted 3 Deep Frames from a honey bound hive. The only Issue I had was the delivery date from FedEx was different than was advertised on Amazon's site and I did not get this product till 3 days after the expected date. But good product and the seller did contact me and the customer service is good.

The media could not be loaded. This is exactly what we were looking for to add to our bee farm! It's quite large, built very well, spins super fast, and I feel like it was appropriately priced. It will make harvesting honey a thousand times easier!!

Having an electric motor is fantastic, and it manages the load really well and actually speed controls to prevent wobble from poor weight distribution that is inevitable with harvesting frames. The quality of materials is what you'd expect from an extractor at this price point, the stainless steel really has a strong mild steel smell even after washing, so drying really well after washing is a must as I expect this thing will rust. It's not easy to clean as the bolts that hold the motor and lids move (fall over sideways) and with four of them you need six hands to hold the bolts and lower the lid to get it back together. The other major flaw is the drain is so far off the bottom you have to tip the whole thing to pour out your honey, wow, it's really bad. While the bottom is coned from center, it should also be sloped to one side and the valve/drain should be lower that the bottom edge to allow proper draining. The design is typical of these lower priced extractors, but it's really painful to work with.

So - overall, this works well. It DEFINITELY needs to be bolted down. The only thing I would want to change about the design is that there should be some sort of depression at the outlet that can provide gravity assist for drainage. It's really a challenge to get the last of the honey out - it needs to be tipped over, which means unbolting it, etc. I feel like most are designed in the same way so not a critique of this product specifically, but definitely makes the honey not as easy to collect as it could be.

I received HE-M-3 three frame manual honey extractor as a gift. It arrived double boxed and packaging in good condition. For the most part it arrives assembled with the crank assembly already Attached to the barrel. Pictured step by Step instructions are easy to follow. The legs and crank handle are attached with the same size (metric 14 SAE 9/16) bolts. The honey gate installs with a seal and large nut also easy to install, although getting the nut started can be trying. I must also say I did have one issue, and afterContacting support using the email provided in the manual, within a week the issue was resolved to my satisfaction. I only have one hive and feel this extractor will fill my needs extremely well. It is refreshing to deal with a company that stands behind their product and customer satisfaction.

I’ve used this honey extractor for two seasons now, and it’s been reliable every time. The build quality is sturdy, and it doesn’t leak. The manual crank is easy to turn, even when fully loaded. For the price, it’s an excellent investment for hobbyist beekeepers. Very satisfied!
