I needed something that would stop my dogs from getting out, but also keep coyotes and other dogs from getting in the yard. We have cats that like to lay in the yard with the dogs and a coyote almost got one of them. My big dog stopped the coyote in it's tracks, but I want to keep my animals safe. I used a 2 mile charger with this polywire and it will light you up! My dogs were already use to an electric fence to keep them in, but it wasn't set up to keep animals out good enough. I got the 2000 ft so I could run a 150ft long fence and six feet high with inches between the wires. Got to watch a coyote think he could go under the fence and found out he couldn't without getting lit up. I'm happy with this wire as I've got it strung tightly and is supposed to last a long time. Shipped and arrived quickly.

Here on the farm, it seems that one can never have enough of this stuff. This lightweight wire is especially good for movable pasture fences, but can quickly and easily be used to discourage unwanted animals from any area. The twisted yellow-black combination is easily seen by humans, and the contrast between the two colors is also visible in low light or by animals not good at perceiving color. The six stainless steel strands will not corrode and help to keep the fence hot over long distances. The fact that the starting end was well marked sounds like no big deal- unless you have wasted time searching for the end of the fencing wire on a spool, then you will really appreciate this extra detail. Conveniently, the polywire comes on a spool, however it should be handled with care as it is disappointingly brittle and easily damaged. Overall, this wire appears to be comparable in quality to what the local farm centers carry, with the added convenience of having it arrive at your door without a trip to town. The current 15% off coupon makes it an even better value.

I got this as part of a project to create a portable electric fence to go around my camper. 20' x 30' perimeter to keep bears and other animals away from my rig and all the smells of food that are around it. I like that the material is light weight and that the coloring is very visible. This spool gives me just enough wire for my needs and delivers a good, but harmless, zap to anything coming in contact with it. It was easy to work with and does what it is supposed to do.

so this wire is ALOT lighter weight than the quality wire i bought at tractor supply. i have my concerns as this would mean the actual wire itself is thin enough to reduce weight but doesn't look obviously thinner without using my calipers. but it's less than half the weight of my other fencing wires. there is also more stretch to this wire than the others, so i worry that it will snap if i put decent tension on it and we have high winds that will cause the fence to sway at all. If the plastic is also thinner, it would degrade in UV exposure faster. only time will tell if this wire is garbage or a blessing in disguise but i have my reserves.

This electric fence wire does not have anything special, but it is a good wire overall and you get lots of it. Not really much to say here except that if you are looking for lots of good basic electric fence wire this could be a good option.

This is good electric fence wire. It's just as good as what you'd buy at Tractor Supply. It's thin, yet sturdy. It's just going around the bottom of my dog fence. So I don't need anything fancy.

Works as good as the stuff you get at the farm store. Nice size roll for the price, durable and carries a charge well. I’m a fan of the poly wire over the old school (or rather in conjunction with) aluminum wire. This is a lot easier for the animals to see and less likely to cause an injury.
