Why did I not know these existed before? I bought these to tighten a new polywire fence and my fence looks great. I am now replacing all my horse fence with polywire because I like the look so much. The tighteners are simple to use and keeps my fence tight. Would recommend and will buy again.

These can't be installed on an existing fence without cutting the wire. However I resolved that problem by cutting slots on the main body and cutting a slot in the tension bolt. Once modified just a matter of slipping into place to use. Of course before buying was aware of the problem and bought a pack to see if the modification would work ... show more

This saved some of my longer runs as well as a break. We had a bad wind storm, knocked several large branches on the fence and snapped the line. This really helped there to tie a new piece in and keep the garden safe!

I am glad I purchased these for the poly wire horse fence I installed. You can tighten the fence and if needed you can loosen to make Any adjustments and then retighten. Would definitely buy again
