After multiple seasons of rain and snow and downright neglect, this fence keeps working. Very durable. I've had to take the slack out of the fence over time, but I believe this to be the fence posts sagging inward rather than actual polybraid stretching. After finishing multiple generations of pigs, we finally took down this fence and saved the braid to use again.     • Easy to see and keep in the donkey and horse.

Summary: When I first moved into this pasture it was all setup with single string high gauge metal wire. This does work but it is hard to see. Also we have had a few bulls run through it and break it to bits. While I did install this I cannot state I have been able to give it a bull test but it does hold much better. Pro's - It has give to it and can stretch - Orange and easy to see. No more getting zapped. - Holds a much harder zap when it hits. Con's - harder to cut. - Need to be careful what metal it comes in contact with as it has coper. Overall. This solves several of my problems. It is easier to see and I do not run into in the middle of the night like I used to with metal wire. The other is I have a horse that thinks she is a pig and is always pushing the fence to eat grass on the other side. This hold a harder hit and she no longer pushes the fence and because she can see it now she stays far away. The last is I have the super hero of donkey's she can take a few zaps and keep going. This one I am able to get to 8000 and it does not short out as much over a distance. It only takes once now she stays away. As such I saw this is as a success. I would recommend. ... show more

I will be using this to go around my apple orchard to keep some sheep out when they graze the yard. I like the thickness of the rope wire as it helps deter animals from going through, and makes it extra visible over the tiny strand wire or metal wire. I will also be using it to run a strand around the fence for my elderly horse who is losing his vision. Did a quick test on our fencer and got a nice poke. Works as advertised, feels durable, and easy to hook up. I would recommend this. ... show more

    • Will do the job, but there are better options…

I’ve had this installed for a year now so I’ll leave a review since I’m dealing with it. My pasture has Electrobraid brand rope and it is the best that I have found. It is significantly more expensive than this, which is why I wanted to try this in the first place. This stretches MUCH more than the Electrobraid when tensioning. It also sags a bit more on longer runs. I snagged a line with my mower the other day and had to retention it to get it set. When doing this I had to stretch it much tighter to get it tight. On an approximately 150’ run that has been set up for a year, when re-tensioning it, there was an extra 4-5’. I noticed that it is also frayed quite a bit. The color does fade pretty quickly, so don’t get attached to the orange. lol. It does the job, but it is not a super high quality fence. ... show more

Much thicker then the power wire I usually use but it cost far more. The larger surface area works good for providing a shock and works good to keep goats away from our solar panels. It is far more visible then the smaller yellow wire and mush stronger. It has held up so far with no drooping and works good on t post insulators Will make a good temporary fence that you need to relocate often.. ... show more

This is good quality Poly braid and it's thick and heavy duty. It's easy to install and holds up well. With its larger size animals notice it and pay closer attention to it.
