The PAMBER brand electric drum pump is extremely light, making it easy to carry to remote locations on or off the job site. It is made from light weight plastic throughout and has its pump motor at the base of the tube that is placed into a fuel drum. It does not have an internal power source (battery) but comes with a 120V AC plug-in-the-wall power supply and an optional 12V DC power cable with battery lug clips. So if you need to pump fuel (or most any other non-corrosive liquid like water) at a remote location, you can easily carry this to the site where the pumping action is needed. The light weight pump nozzle works just like what you would find at the gas station, but it's extremely light weight. It has a "hold on" feature that lets you start the pumping action and it continues without you having to hold the nozzle continuously. The top of the pump tube that extends down into the fluid being pumped, has a bung thread o it so you can screw it into the top of a 55 gallon drum, although this is not necessary for operation. I have other 12 VDC transfer pumps of this type, but they are 12 VDC only, and they are heavy. The transfer rate of those pumps is certainly much faster than this light weight plastic pump, and they do not have a 15 minute duty cycle restriction (15 minutes max on-time with 15 minutes cool-off resting time). At 5 gallons/per minute (max rate specified in the Amazon.com listing, this pump could drain a 55 gallon drum in under the 15 minute duty cycle limit. The instructions say, "DO NOT USE WITH Gasoline, corrosive chemicals, Lacquer thinners, any material that is not compatible with the pump construction". OK, how do I know what materials are "not compatible with the pump construction?" Not helpful. But they do say you can use it for Diesel, Kerosene, DEF, Water, Antifreeze, Detergents, Pesticides/Herbicides, and light oils... so if you stay within those parameters, you should be OK.

This is a great prepper tool to have just in case! If you have 55-gallon drums of liquid at home, this makes it so much easier to actually use the contents. Easy to set up quickly and pumps out fluid at a good rate. It is very handy and can be adjusted to the containers dept. The hose is of good length and has not clogged on me yet. Easy to carry around remote areas. If you are needing to move/pump liquid frequently this is a nice way to go. The included power options make it easy to use just about anywhere you may need. The cords are average thickness and of OK length. The pump is not too loud the handle feels sturdy the hose and connections don't leak so you're not getting fluid anywhere other than where you need/want it. Lines swivel nicely so you don't end up with tangles. The motor has a good flow rate and it definitely beats my hand crank version so I get more moved than before. All and all I like it and find it useful around the in-laws family farm.

This electric drum pump has been a very useful tool for moving fluids quickly and with far less mess than manual pumps. It powers on easily and transfers liquid at a steady, strong pace, making it much faster to empty drums than doing it by hand. I’ve used it for diesel and water so far, and it handles both without any issues. One feature I really like is the adjustable suction tube. Being able to extend it to fit different drum sizes makes it versatile and convenient, especially if you work with more than one type of container. The nozzle swivels smoothly, which helps with control while filling. My only reason for giving four stars instead of five is that it’s a bit bulky to store and could use clearer instructions for first-time setup. Overall, though, it’s a dependable, time-saving pump that does exactly what it’s meant to do.
