Got this saw in addition to my 12” miter saw and 7-1/4" saw. This is easy to use when the depth of the cut is shallow because the saw does not tilt up sky high. This handheld circular saw has the perfect sized barrel for my hand size, other products are too thick. In the contrary, other saws like Rockwell's has thinner barrel, but they place motor far back so that the length is long and the weight balance is too much away from the shoe plate. The operating noise is acceptably good. Has collection attachment (bag not included) but you can easily attach a vacuum hose. The dust collection adapter stays in during handling. As per the specs comes with a powerful 750W 6.2Amps copper motor delivers full-size performance at 3,500 RPM high cutting speed, it cuts through wood, plastic, gypsum board, PVC pipes and ceramic tiles with ease. Included in the box are 6 Blades: two 24T TCT blades (4.92”) for wood cuts, two 60T HSS blades (4.5”) for plastic and soft-metal cuts, 2pcs grit diamond blades (4.5”), comes with a 10ft cord, has a laser beam and scale ruler attachment for precise cuts. It has a double protection switch which avoids accidental opening and makes it safer while in use, only when you press the on/off trigger and safety switch simultaneously, the saw start and move. The manual is surprisingly clear and well written, though the illustrations are basically puddles of ink. The tool is straightforward and easy to operate without pics, though, everything is easily accessible and labeled when necessary. Unlike every circular saw I've ever owned, I had no problem cutting a straight line with this one! My only complaint is that it would be nice if there was a place for my left hand, maybe a knob like an electric planer has, for a little extra bit of control when the grain is funky. Other than that, I'm very happy with the purchase. I'll update if anything goes wrong, so if there's no update, I'm still happy! It's heavy-ish- I don't think it weighs much less than a full size circular saw- and if you have very small hands, I'm not sure it would be comfortable for you. (See pics, I'm an adult female, tall, so I have long fingers.) It came with a nice variety of blades, which were quick to swap out, and the allen wrench attaches to the cord, which is always nice. Not that it matters, but the box came shrink-wrapped in really shiny, crinkly black plastic. I felt like I was buyingcpu parts or fancy whiskey instead of a circular saw! ... show more

    • Laser eat batteries, but its a tough little saw

This is a tough saw. I put a porter cable blade on it and set about cutting plywood, trim, shelving, mdf, and all sorts of stuff. I am notoriously rough on tools sort of like the American Tourister Gorilla was to suitcases. This saw has a good bevel and safety cover. Accurate notch to align and a laser that works and produces a deep red line. The only part I do not like is that the laser is battery powered, uses hearing aid style batteries, and it kills the batteries. I used this saw on a project of cutting trim , shelves, and plywood for 3 days. Cut 400ft of trim, cut shelving for 20 book cases , and cut shelves for cases. 3 days and went through 3 sets of batteries . For a casual user this is not a problem. Cut a few boards and go away..... unfortunate because this tough little saw will cut all day long and is worth every penny except for the laser. ... show more

* Compact & Lightweight: The mini circular saw is much easier to handle than a full-size one. It's perfect for smaller, DIY projects, especially when working in tight spaces. * Powerful for Its Size: Despite its small size, it cuts through wood, PVC, and even some metals with ease. I was surprised by how well it performed on 2x4s. * Easy to Use: The ergonomic design and comfortable grip made it easy to control, reducing fatigue during longer cutting sessions. * Adjustable Cutting Depth: This is a great feature for getting more precise cuts depending on the material you're working with. Cons: * Not for Heavy-Duty Projects: It's great for light and medium work, but I wouldn't recommend it for large construction projects or anything requiring heavy-duty cutting. * Short Cord: The power cord is a bit shorter than I'd like, which made it hard to move around freely unless you use an extension cord. * Blade Durability: The included blade is decent, but after several uses, it started to show signs of wear. The motor is strong enough, the cutting disc is sharp. The problem with these small circular saws is that the cut mark is located on the frame far from the disc, so even if you have a line on the workpiece, the end of the cut goes blind. Another unresolved issue is the locking button for starting the machine. It is placed so impractically that one wonders if it was tested and approved by an alien. Overall: a non-greasy-unsalted saw, as there are many. Reasonable price speaks in favor. ... show more

So, the first thing you notice is that this little saw has a lot of power. It cut easily through some different types of hardwood (white oak) and softwood (pine) without bogging down. I used the blade that came with it. They include three different blades for cutting different materials. I really like the laser guide which I followed to make a nice accurate cut. They have some different hose adapters so you can connect it to a shop vac so you don’t throw dust all over the room. Another nice thing is that the cord is extra long; a few saws I have the cord is much shorter. I believe the cord is 10ft long. Changing the blade is easy and they include a hex key that you will use to change the blades. Overall, this saw is a good value and works really well; it cuts smoothly with a nice sharp blade. ... show more

Maybe if you're a big guy with strong arms and a lot greater familiarity with power saws, and/or you have a solid work bench and a bunch of clamps, and you're not trying to use a tiny saw because you're working in a site where bringing in the table saw is beyond just inconvenient ... maybe you'd like this saw. If you're a fairly small, not-too-muscular person trying to get a job done without bringing in the heavy artillery, this is probably not the tool you want. There isn't a variable speed control, the blade is either on (in which case it's moving so fast that it's invisible, like a propeller blade) or off. Since you can't see the blade when it's in motion, even if you don't mind curling over like a caterpillar and trying to look under the body of the saw to see where the blade lines up with your marking, that's impossible. And the gauge on the front end that is supposedly for the purpose of lining it up seems to vary in its alignment with every cut. The saw wants to pull to the left and make an arc, rather than a straight line. It takes some strong force to coax it not to do that, and it's a constant and (for me) often losing battle. The tiniest movement or loss of pressure forcing the saw in the intended direction allows it to kick loose and go off in another direction, very rapidly. It's a powerful little saw -- cuts through particle board like soft butter. But if it's that easy to cut particle board and that easy to have it jump, it's not for use by anyone who can't keep it in line. Not if they like having all ten digits and no deep cuts in their legs, other nearby objects, etc. So ... I'll be sending this one back. ... show more
