I have a clean looking dishware set of bone china that is lightweight, but because I don't want to risk washing them in my regular dishwasher & I don't like washing by hand often, I was looking for a dishware set that was more practical to clean in a typical dishwasher and somewhat just as lightweight. I already have an Elama dishware set of ceramic/stoneware, and I was happy with that so I thought I would try buying the same brand again. This item did meet my criteria, being suitable for the heated drying and regular wash cycles of my dishwasher. As expected, these dishes were heavier than bone china, but, again, I don't really like washing by hand so it's an acceptable compromise. There was some imperfection of this blue tint on the edges/rims of some of the dishes, but it's hardly noticeable unless you look really close. However, one thing that I kind of found off-putting was that the brand stamp on the bottom of the dishes washed almost completely off, looking like messy smeared ink, after the many wash cycles I put them through compared to the stamps on my ceramic/stoneware set. Mind you, it's not like you're looking at the bottom of the dishes as you're using them, but each time I put them away in my cabinet I see it and it's annoyingly ugly. I love the look but one of the bowls has a lump of clay or something baked into it. It's on outside side so I kept and hope that it eventually wasted off. One of the cups had a broken handle. I had to throw away.
