Such a gorgeous set! I own 2 of these sets now. The first one I bought the beginning of 2022 and this last one was purchased a week ago. The set from 2022 still looks almost new and it has been through a lot. The dishes are very good quality, sturdy and have some weight to them. They go great with my dining room theme! I actually bought both sets of plates: the wolf and the elk. I bought the wolf first, and loved it so much that I bought the elk as an addition to complement it. The bowls are identical for both sets, but the plates and cups each have their own design. They go very well together. The dishes were packed *very* well. Both sets arrived with no damage at all, which had me very impressed. In fact, I want to talk about the packaging a bit, because it's rare that I see such efficiency and care: the dishes are packaged together in a stacked formation, separated by small cardboard inserts, and each type of dish is contained within a small cardboard box that's the perfect size for a snug fit. These smaller boxes are arranged together inside a single large box so that they form a perfect fit. This means there's no sliding around or jostling during transit. It's clear Elama has mastered packaging its dishes down to an art form. One of the wolf plates had a factory defect (part of the glaze/coating looked to have been chipped off before the stoneware was fired). Elama includes a contact card with each shipment, where you can contact them to ask for a replacement in case of a broken dish, and I did this. I sent Elama a picture of the defect, they verified my purchase and delivery address, and were happy to ship out a new plate to me. So if you're afraid to take a chance on these dishes, never fear. They have you covered. I suspect one reason they're so confident about offering coverage for broken dishes is because they're so good at packaging them. I have already put the dishes through the gamut of normal use. I have eaten off them, washed them in the sink, washed them in the dishwasher, put them through the microwave, stacked them in my cabinets, and can safely say that I'm able to use and enjoy them like any other set of stoneware dishes. This is the nicest everyday dinner ware I have ever owned. They do well in the dishwasher. They are microwave safe for reheating food for under 4 minutes. They don't get as hot as my old set. They are thicker and a bit heavier than average so I expect they will hold up for many years to come. I did have two plates that arrived chipped. I reached out to Amazon to get those two plates replaced and Amazon ended up sending me another entire set. Amazon customer service (via chat) did an above average job with the replacement and shipping. These plate clean up so well, not much sticks to them. They also feel so smooth to the touch. We love the Elk sketching on the plates and mugs. They fit perfectly with our décor. Would highly recommend. ... show more

These plates are awesome! They are the size of 'regular' plates. You know how, sometimes, decorative plates are not full sized. Well, these are. And the quality is amazing. The plates are heavy stone wear and quality images. I read other reviews, and I agree, the pictures from the seller don't do them justice - they are much prettier in person. They come very well packed with cardboard around each 2 pieces and a cardboard separator between each plate. Also, since Amazon delivers them, they are not used for basketball practice when labeled 'fragile', like other delivery companies. Love these!! ... show more
