Description

EK-Loop Hard Tube is solid type extruded acrylic tubing intended for use with EK-HD push-in adapters and EK-HDC series compression fittings. The tubing may be heat treated to achieve certain bends. For expert users only! It is mandatory to chamfer the edges of freshly cut tube in order to prevent gasket (O-ring) damage. EK recommends a 0.5mm x 45 degree chamfer. Technical data: - Material: Extruded acrylic - Inner diameter: 10 mm - Outer diameter: 12 mm - Length: 500 mm (19.5") For easier installation we recommend wetting the gasket (O-ring) using drops of water prior to installing solid tube. • Thiccc tubes for flow
Style: Soft - Black | 11.1/16.1mm
Grabbed this to set up an external radiator setup for my watercooled rig with some quick disconnects. These tubes are very thick and unfortunately EK does not produce torque fittings for this size tubing but plenty of other fitting manufacturers do so it ends up being very easy to work with. Them being this thick does make it harder to make it bend or flex but not impossible and you can route them wherever you want as long as you give it a little more length to make the curve instead of bending. Flow will not be impeded as the tube is about as wide as the internals of most G1/4 fittings. Great if things need to have high flow but harder to work with than other tubing sizes and quite a bit harder to make the bends needed to do tube routing within the case. Recommended for short runs that need high flow. ... show more

  • Great for Beginners and Worn Out Vets

I love the straightforward function and understated look of this tubing.

  • Works great, no issues!
I've been using the EKWB Duraclear tubing for 3.5 years. I replaced it once in between since I had a completely new build and had to make entirely new cuts. It is not always easy to find the 12/16 size, I mistakenly got myself stuck on this size since it would be a bit of an investment to replace all 10 of my fittings. Regardless, it's available and let's me continue putting off that replacement. The tubing is very easy to work with. It holds its circumference well, so as you make bends it's not crimping. I always use it with EK clear fluids, and EK blocks, pump, and radiators. My fittings are a combination of EK (for the compression fittings and some elbows) and bitspower (for additional extensions, elbows, drain, etc..). No aluminum. With these quality parts, I haven't experienced any breakdown of the tubing. There's no evidence of plasticizers in the loop, and no etching of the tube. They will get SLIGHTLY cloudy after more than a year of usage, but that happens with any soft tubing. Even in my case, it's barely noticeable. Generally water cooling enthusiasts consider tubing to be a consumable (need to replace) part, if they even use soft tubing anymore. So, if you have that mindset, that cloudiness factor isn't even a big deal. Overall, it's my goto tubing. It has never let me down. I also appreciate how there are no logos or printing on the tubes, they're completely clear. ... show more

  • The most flexible and yet still firm and sturdy tubing I have ever used.
Style: Soft - Black | 11.1/16.1mm
I have been building water cooling loops for computers before it was a commercialized option. Currently, my own system doesn't even use radiator(s) and instead uses active water chillers. From the moment I first tried this tubing I could tell just by the feel of it that it was radically different from other soft tubing I had used in the past. I was amazed at how flexible it was - very resistant to kinking - and yet it is very strong. Not sure why this specific tubing is so different from other tubing that seems to be made out of the same material but I suspect it must be from the manufacturing process. Whatever the difference is I really love this tubing - enough to actually take the time to review it. ... show more

  • Relatively expensive, and way too difficult to attach.
Style: Soft - Black | 9.5/15.9mm
Unfortunately, even when paired with EK's high end, and correctly sized, Quantum Torque fittings, I had to use way too much force just to attach the ZMT (10/16mm or 3/8" x 5/8"), and after mocking up an initial loop, my hands were blistered and cut in places. Detaching each run was just as absurdly difficult, and I was genuinely worried I might damage my hardware trying to brute force the attachments. I'm sure boiling water, or a heat gun would have made the ZMT easier to work with, but after both Tygon A-60 and Alphacool's matte black EPDM tubing attached with comparative ease, I'm not going to bother. If I were trying to attach the ZMT to non-EK fittings, I wouldn't have scored it so low, but even if I simply received a smaller than normal sample, QC should have flagged it. Since I've only read about the following issue, but didn't experience it firsthand (or even have an opportunity, as I never pumped any coolant through the tubing), I'm not factoring it into my score. That said, at least some customers have noticed small pieces of the inner tube lining circulating in their loops, and apparently, a pretty vigorous wire brush cleaning is needed to fix the issue. If this is the case, ZMT is far from "zero maintenance", and considering its premium price, very hard to recommend. Even the Tygon A-60 I subsequently bought was cheaper, and the Alphacool tubing significantly so. Of course, even if ZMT is relatively low maintenance for most, it was too difficult to attach (at least for me) for practical use, and IMO, both the Tygon A-60 and Alphacool alternatives look nicer as well. ... show more

  • Very good, get correct ID from EK website
Style: Hard - Clear | 16mm OD
They are great for my water cooling builds. Just make sure you get a proper ID silicone tubing.

  • Solid product
Style: Soft - Black | 9.5/15.9mm
The EKWB zero maintenance is great, the clear 10/16 is rigid and a great tube, so I got the black one be causa I though it would more flexible and yes it is, makes you pc have a kind of engine look to it.

  • Good quality soft tube
Style: Soft - Black | 9.5/15.9mm
This tube has wall thickness of 1/4". It could handle tight turn without kinks. To hand tight the compression fittings with this soft tube need some strength. I was able to install it without tool nor do I use heat gun. I suggest you pre install the one that has tight space first. In one connection, I have a situation where the tube is installed pretty tight on to compression fitting, but the tube has the tendency to twist the g1/4 thread loose once I let go. In this case, one of the option is to use hex wrench to tighten the g1/4 thread so that it bites into thread thread a bit more to resist the force of the twisted energy from the soft tube. ... show more
