I really like this miter Saw alot. It has alot of adjustments, Lazer to get a straight cut, led light so you can see to work. From what I was reading on it you can cut at 45 degree and it has eight positional cutting. You can also hook up a shop vac to it so the dust is collected. It does come with a bag that collects the dust and it works. It doesn't collect every bit of it because some goes to the side. I'm sure if I had a shopvac hooked up it would get it all. It's also pretty light so I can carry it over to my chicken coop and use it their. It beats having to walk back and forth. I got this Saw to cut metal. Not going to cut anything major or heavy duty with it. I do alot of automotive stuff, so this saw is perfect for my needs. I'm going to replace the blade for one that can cut metal and have checked to make sure this saw is capable of doing it. Not to mention my 12 year old son is always asking me to cut stuff for him or we have a project going on. This saw allows me to cut straight lines which I had problems doing when I was using a Cutoff wheel and it's alot safer lol. If you do alot of smaller cutting of things then this is the perfect miter saw for you. As I said before you get nice straight cuts, this saw is affordable and is still a quality product. I've never heard of this brand before so I done some research aka (google). Wanted to make sure I was getting something that was of quality. Found out that this brand EINHELL is a German manufacturer company of tools. So far I've cut a paint stick to see how it done, 2x4, plastic intake tube and once I get a different blade I'll be cutting exhaust pipe, aluminum sign to use for my cover over the spare tire in my Mustang. It has a LED light but it's only on 1 side. It would be nice if it has 2 so it covered the whole deck where you are cutting. Could it use more power? I already had batteries from other Einhell cordless tools and they made the saw work at its peak efficiency. I’m impressed and the batteries work until they just stop, this of course is by design. Getting the maximum out of a battery every time. It’s running speed is three thousand rotations per minute and that with no load on it. It will slow some once I meet the wood with the rotating blade where the laser and light meet. But it’s quite a powerful machine and has wanted features that make it a great buy. I’m aware now that Einhell is a european household name in the tool market so the Einhell tools I do have I had noted just how well they are made for a upcoming company but I’ve been set straight that they are well established. The interchangeable single battery concept between a large number of tools is catching on everywhere. I don’t have a current project but I’m now looking for one to get this tool into use. I think i may use this more than my husband does. I like the smoothness of how it cuts. It's very easy to operate. Even a newbie (like myself) to these types of tools can figure it out. Even though this product you will need to buy the charger separately, but if you end up with other tools from the brand, the battery pack will work on those items as well (which is actually my favorite thing about this). This is great for the casual home carpenter who has an occasional project, if you plan to do anymore than that you will want to spend more money, this is not for the professional. For me this is perfect. Right out of the box and with the subsequent setup you can see that the build is not of the highest quality, things are just a little sloppy and does give me a little concern about the long term durability. I’m a confident DIY’er and have the power tools needed to get the job done. I probably have more power tools than I need because Grrrrr, power tools are manly. As a homeowner and an active landlord, I use my power tools regularly. Even so, I don’t know how else to describe why I own and use so many different wireless drills. The Einhell Power X-Change 18-Volt cordless 8.5” compound miter saw, made in China, comes out of the box mostly ready to use. This miter saw weighs 17.2 pounds and can be secured to a workbench or easily moved to a worksite. The handle has a built-in safety switch, which shuts off the saw when the handle isn’t squeezed. Two power switches below the battery control the line-up laser and deck light individually. Setting the cut angle is simple, and a clamp keeps the item being cut in place. Einhell asks for online activation of the 2-year warranty and grants an additional 90 days for doing so. I entered the provided URL and was redirected to a Snow Joe page. I had no trust in this page and thought I entered something wrong. After two more attempts to get to the right page, I realized this was legitimate. I clicked the link for warranty registration, created an account, and provided the SKU and S/N found where the battery connects. I was opted-in to receive text messages and emails as I progressed through registration. Plus, I was given several options to purchase extended warranty coverage and shown several Sun Joe items to purchase. There is nothing technically wrong with this process; it just feels shady to me. Before ordering this compact miter saw, I used a manual trim miter saw. Not only is this saw easier to use, it also cuts larger pieces of wood. I had no issues lining up and cutting through a cedar 2x4. I’m looking to build a fence soon, and I can easily transport this miter saw to the other house and make the needed cuts with ease. Since this is a tool only miter saw, I will need to have several batteries and a rapid charger . The Einhell Power X-Change 18-Volt cordless 8.5” compound miter saw is compact, well designed, and effective for a DIYer like me.
