I've always been a little wary of plastic dishware. I didn't know much about wheat straw when i bought these, but I figured it was worth a shot. Overall, these are great for casual use. They feel like plastic, so I don't know if you'd use them in any sort of formal setting, but for picnics outdoor eating or anything like that these are great. I've used them in the microwave, and I've run them through the dishwasher multiple times, and they seemed fine. They've been dropped, abused, and held up great. I use these whenever I'm eating outdoors, or the kids are eating in their room. Great casual dishware and safe to use for anyone with plastic sentitivity. Highly recommended.

This is another set of wheat straw for me because I like so well another I previously obtained. Those plates have become our go-tos for lots of uses--feeding toddlers and more. These, too, seem to be a very nice set of dinnerware. Their black color makes them seem kind of dressy, even, though they are simply...well, simple. I'm not sure elegant wheat straw wear is a thing, but if it is: these are that.

Color: Beige Wheat Straw Plates and Bowls
There is no other way to say this but these dishes are ugly. While they claim to be bamboo, they feel more like plastic. They have rather high sides for plates so don't fit in my dishwasher rack easily. I actually find those high sides helpful for dishes that have sauces that could run over the edge when carried from the kitchen to the table. I also like them for dinner salads (we eat a lof of Chicken Caesar Salad since they are flat enough to hold a dinner sized dinner, but those high sides prevent lettuce from falling off the edge. But because of the dull beige color, I only use these with immediate family, often in lieu of paper plates. They are not what I would consider a substitute for my everyday china. They do clean up well in the dish washer and because of the texture, would probably bounce if dropped. I think these would be great for families with young children who would benefit from those raised sides and the durability.
