While the pliers do their job, they are pretty basic in terms of being a tool for extensions. I'm a man so a drawback is my hands are a little bigger but i think even for a woman, the way the handles are constructed(they are thin without any padding), once you use them a handful of times to crimp beads, it starts to be uncomfortable. Also the crimping area isn't very pronounced, even with the V on one side, when squeezed id doesn't really crimp them that well to prevent the extension from being pulled out. ... show more

If you’re thinking about getting these for extensions go with a different brand. I used these for the first time last week and after clamping ONE BEAD it snapped. I hadn’t used them for anything else. Very annoying.
