Not sure why the blade that came with the E-Go 21 inch mower was so poor, but it wouldn't cut anything level, leaving huge stripes of poorly cut grass that was uneven with torn looking ends that turn brown. Turns out it was because the blade that comes with the mower is a MULCHING blade, and has hardly any lift. I needed good lift to cut the limp Kentucky bluegrass lawn. THIS blade is 100 times better! Blade is great upgrade from original blade. It mulches better and does a good job when bagging even with damp grass. It is louder than original blade and does take more battery power to run if you have a thick healthy lawn. I let the grass go a little too long the first mow and I had to recharge before finishing approximately 5K sq ft yard. With this blade the final test will be this fall and determine if I can sell my gas mower. Based on the results so far it should handle fall clean up just fine. This blade fits my Ego mower well and installation was a breeze. it's easy to find a help video on YouTube so you can see the process. the new blade is sharp and my mower cuts like new again. it surprising how dull the old blade was after a couple of years.
