This mower is the best ego mower I have used by far. I have owned a few of the 21" mowers with and without the select cut blades and one with the XP motor. This mower beats all of them easily. The best cut quality from any Ego mower due to the Aluminum domed deck and 11 ft lbs of torque. They finally fixed the self drive system too, it is nearly silent on this mower and the back wheels don't hang up when you turn. One thing I have seen can be a problem with this mower is the weight, it is heavier than Ego's other mowers. For me this is a plus though because I have a fairly thick KBG yard and the other lighter mowers would ride on top of the dense turf leading to an uneven cut. This mower has enough weight to avoid that and it makes the cut so much better. ... show more

I'm comparing this mower to my echo 190cc 21 gas mower. Side by side mowing i prefer the Ego mower. I was surprised that this mower cut grass better than the Echo gas mower. I haven't done any bagging or side discharge with it yet but I'm sure they both work great. Also this mower has no whining noise when using self propel. Also when pulling back it doesn't lock the wheels up like my old ego mower did. I love this thing lol. I use it on number 2 as I noticed no major cutting difference switching to turbo. THIS IS ONE OF IF NOT THE BEST 21" CUT LAWN MOWERS MADE I HAVE 2 OF THEM THEY KEEP SAYING 22" DECK IN ADVERTISING BUT THE BLADE IS 21" NOT 22" THE CUT IS 21" IVE USED HONDA MOWERS FOR YEARS THEY ARE THE BEST GAS MOWERS AN THIS EGO 1100 IS WORKING JUST AS GOOD WITH NO GAS TO BUY

Open the box the lawn mower looked like crap. It scratches all over it and it's dirty. It looked used and smell bad on the inside of the box like midew. Filing complaint.

    • A real beast

I struggled deciding between the 22" aluminum deck or the lighter, less powerful model. My schedule doesn't always allow me to mow the yard at the best times, so occasionally it gets a little too long. This thing is a beast and has ravaged everything I've thrown at it. If registered and connected to the Ego app, you can increase the turbo mode rpm even more. It doesn't struggle at all in thick, long, and even a little wet grass. My yard has some bumps and hills, and this mower is a little on the heavier side, but I haven't had any issue getting around with the self propel. I've read concerns about the loudness of the self propel, but I haven't found it to be an issue at all. It get a little louder the faster you go or if it's pulling harder to go up a hill, but still not anything I find annoying. If you register, Ego also sends you a free side discharge attachment and high lift bagging blade which most reviews I've read seem to prefer over the mulching blade even if you're not bagging. I received the side discharge attachment, but the high lift blade apparently is on backorder with no ETA on when it will be sent. Overall, I'm glad I picked this model because I'm confident it can handle anything I'll even need it for. ... show more

Maybe my batteries are old but every time I cut the lawn something cuts it off (battery red flashing or panel indicated) if I dont keep the blade speed down and not overwork the self propel. Liked my original plastic deck auto speed one little better.

I already had lots of Ego batteries, I didn't need any more so I just wanted the LM2200SP mower. All of the retail stores in my area only had the mower WITH the batteries at a price several hundred dollars more, so I was delighted to see the mower ONLY, was available on Amazon. It arrived in less than two days along with free shipping! That was amazing because if I had been able to purchase the mower from my local big box store, they would have charged me $79 dollars for delivery! The mower comes assembled right out of the box, you just have to put the bag attachment together which is easy. I used the mower today and loved it. It's powerful and mulched the grass beautifully, I saw no trace of the clippings on the lawn. Cleaning it is easy, you just fold down the handle and tilt the mower up, something hard to do with a gas mower because you have to worry about the oil leaking in the crankcase. No gas or oil or any liquid here. Since Amazon is an authorized Ego retailer, they'll honor the warranty. All in all, no problems and a great mower purchased from Amazon. ... show more

    • Self-propelled feature is flaky and can get annoying.

I’ve owned and used this mower for two years now. I bought it for two reasons, 1. I had other EGO Power+ tools that use the same batteries and 2. I wanted a mower that I could change the blade speed/motor power dynamically and at the time there weren’t a lot of options. I did not want/need the self-propelled feature and wish there was a simple way to remove it, but at the time it was the only mower I could find with that ability to adjust the power to the motor. The mower works well and the adjustable blade speed/motor power is handy. My old mower had “sensing” technology that would auto adjust the power to the motor when it detected the mower bogging down and, well, not a fan as it left bits of grass uncut and I had to go back over areas. The thing I do not care for with this mower is the self-propelled feature. Even when I’m carefully avoiding the triggers for the self-propelled feature the motor will sometimes engage which makes dragging backward/turning the mower around require more effort than is necessary. The mower is also a lot heavier than it needs to be. Combine those two things with hot, humid, gnat filled weather and mowing with this thing can become irritating and unpleasant. Other than that I have no complaints about the mower. When the motor isn’t randomly engaging the self-propelled motor itself and acting like a brake it does the job well and even with the mulching blade I’m able to use the bag to collect clippings. I have a smaller lawn and multiple EGO batteries so I have not run into any issues with not having enough power to mow. Using a 5.0aH battery I can usually get the job done. When the grass is a bit taller/wet - it can eat through a 7.5aH battery before I’m done. ... show more
