My dermatologist recommended Effaclar years ago and I remembered it worked well. I stopped using the product over the years as my skin mellowed out. Not sure why I'm in my mid-40's and getting acne again, but I decided to go back to Effaclar. The first week or so was bad as my skin went through the "purge" phase, but it had since gotten so much better. My skin is clearer and less acne.
