We have two inverters and two batteries each. We hooked up 3.7 KW solar system. And we use it to go off the grid anywhere between 4 and 10 hours a day. (although that is only about a third of our house) We have a refrigerator, full size freezer, our heat and AC at well pump, internet, ceiling, fans and lights. All hooked into the smart panel 2. We've been up and running since right around Easter. And we've saved quite a bit on our electric bill. First, we were going to get a backup generator. They wanted $17,000 or more. And that's just really an insurance policy that you can only use when the power goes out. We spent about the same and we use it everyday to save money and have peace of mind. Whichever route you choose. The initial cost is high but the benefits you reap going this route I feel are better. Hope this helps. I should have mentioned that usage is only using 40% of the capacity. The rest is saved for emergency power failures.. ... show more
