Our family loses umbrellas, so I buy these regularly when discounted. The open mechanism is fine. Closing is a bit of a pain in general. We find that we need to use two hands to bring it into the compact closed position. It can stick a bit, which gets us wet; it is difficult for our youngest child. It's OK in wind. It usually flips out and then comes back without issue, but the umbrella isn't super sturdy. We try to be careful using it in wind. It is easy to travel with, and once dry and fully closed, we find it easy to put back on the covers.

Says windproof on the description, that was a lie. A LIE I TELL YOU. Good for traveling, blocking out the sun on hot days, but it won't stand against a gust of wind.

The automatic open/close with push of the button works well & is very convenient (especially when getting in & out of car). Have not had a windy rain yet to test the wind resistant aspect.

Good value for the amount paid. The umbrella looks very durable. There are 2 parts of the umbrella cloth instead of one as usual and it makes it difficult to fold the umbrella properly.
