  • This thing is solid
Has gone through about 10 12"-14" diameter round logs and has split them all perfectly fine. I do worry the tip may break one day but otherwise it is getting the job done when I get a couple round logs here and there.

  • Hammer of the Gods!
This thing is awesome. You hit it with a heavy hammer and the wood just splinters. A must have for splitting large logs

  • Works well
Splits wood. Has held up to a bunch of abuse. I wouldn't say that the diamond shape yields any great benefit that I've seen. Most often, the wood splits in half well before it ever builds up enough force to make a four-way split. It is more forgiving in the sense that the log often splits along an unexpected axis due to the multiple angles of the wedge. Very happy with it. ... show more

  • Effective and easy to use compared to regular wedges.
I have recently cut several oak and maple tree which produced large logs up to 3 ft in diameter. I needed something to make short work of splitting all that wood. This made such a difference and saved me lots of time and effort. I would like to get one a little bigger about 5 lbs maybe with bigger wings for the bigger logs. I am glad I got this one. ... show more

  • Pretty Good
I use it to split oak logs. It does the job but it does not give a 4 way split, you only get 2. It is better than a wedge.

  • Well made and effective wood splitter.

  • My go to wedge now that had a failure.
It's just so much fun and stress management to make big things get small quick. My go to wedge now. Been using it pretty heavily. I was splitting some branches with knots when I had a failure. Not sure what happened but looks like it hit a knot. One the last strike the edge got kicked out. When I picked it up I found out my favorite wedge just said good bye. I found the other piece after I finished spillting the branch. Have to order a couple of new ones. Like I said I don't know what happen. It was a straight split. Up to here the wedge made splitting so much more enjoyable. ... show more
